| Why? – Waterfalls Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"Waterfalls leave smooth rocks When the river dries up You can determine where a river once was Just by examining rocks" I think this is a pretty simple analogy to the way "your face never forgets a cry"... "Your face never forgets a cry Like trace remnants of acid in your spine" by saying "your face" he is reffering to your ego, memory, thought process, ability to trust or put yourself out there. he compares it to the small effect acid leaves on your spine that never leaves althought all the effects of the acid leaves fairly quickly "The erosion cries cause Make whiskers prematurely sprout in men" he is saying the pain and hurt taht makes men cry makes them grow up too early or wear them down to quick, its a negetive effect of the "erosion cries cause" "And in women Homogenize complexion" He is saying failed relationships or other hardships in life make many (maybe younger) girls have low self esteem, so they cover themselves up with makeup, i think makeup is just a metaphor for anything that puts distance between the girl and her getting close to anyone... and homogenize complexion basically refers to what makeup does to girls, they put it on until it masks who they really are... "Until the whole face is washed with a slight mascara tint" sometimes they do it until they completly are beaten by it, comsumed by it |

| Atmosphere – Body Pillow Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"danger, danger, this might hurt" i love this line, i think it refers to how he and other guys that have been hurt know that it wont last and it will end bitterly, he also knows that he is totally involved in her, but shes not feelin it as much, foreshadowing the pain he knows is inevitable |

| Why? – Darla Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| actually Why? made this song about a chicken stuck in a chicken coop her whole life just making babies for our consumption... he made it to see what other people would intreprete it as, but it is simply about a female chicken and her depressing existence, he is saying its not right for her whole life to be laying eggs for us in a coop... its actually a brilliant experiment and you are the rat... | |
| The Good Life – The Beaten Path Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| the beaten path is a metaphor for daily life, the monotony of routine, day after day he gets up, works, drinks, and sleeps, its depressing kasher but he sticks to it cuz there really is no way to break the routine and be successful, he is obviously stressed and depressed about the cycle of wake work sleep repeat... This song is not about a significant other but tim kasher often references love in many songs on different topics | |
