Harvey Danger – Flagpole Sitta Lyrics 14 years ago
I think this song is about a person with schizophrenia in the anarchist/punk scene who gets committed but wants to be back to the nothingness and meaninglessness that is his life.

Dead Kennedys – Religious Vomit Lyrics 18 years ago
I think that nagsworth is right, this song is mainly meant for shock value, not true sincerity. Jello obviously feels this way about religion, but it is greatly exaggerated to make a point.

Joey Ramone wore a swastika for the same reason, even though he wasn't a racist or a fascist. I've learned you really have to read into DK songs: If the lyrics are simple there is probably a complex message, if the lyrics are copmlex there is probably a simple message.

Parliament – P. Funk (Wants to Get Funked Up) Lyrics 19 years ago
This song reminds me of 60% by NOFX, except instead of being bitter about being a "dealer", Parliament makes it a positive thing and brags with all the drug slang. Sick tune.

Sublime – Chica Me Tipo Lyrics 19 years ago
I could be wrong, but I always thought that this and "chick on my tip" together contrast the upper middle class to the lower class. In "chick on my tip" he is an arrogant wealthy guy who is telling off the girl, while the poor mexican here wants to be with the same girl but can't afford it.

Dead Kennedys – Drug Me Lyrics 19 years ago
The song is about addiction, so I doubt that its about weed, it's gotta be about an upper. In the first verse the guy is just craving the drug, and it progresses to full on addiction by the fifth verse.

It's like the two day hump, they guy is going crazy by the fifth verse, and then finally settles down by the sixth.
