this song is absolutely amazing, and i dont know why none of you have commented it yet. basically, what i get from this song is: "All I want is the best for our lives my dear, and you know my wishes are sincere Whats to say for the days I cannot bare" to me, this seems like a guy who has to break up with a girl because its whats best for their lives, and he means well, although sometimes he cannot bare to be away from her. the sunday smile thing just seems like a facade of some sort. like the girl understood why he was doing it, and just sorta dealt with it by putting on "a sunday smile" "We burned to the ground, left a view to admire" pretty much self explanatory. yeah you guys get the gist =P |

i've lived in the woodlands most of my life, and its exactly how people describe it. nothing is ever mentioned in the news, the main goal for people is perfection, full of rich kids in big houses who have nothing better to spend their parents money on than drugs and the hottest new coach bag or blah blah bullshit. when people hear i live in the woodlands thats the image they see.... but not everyone in the woodlands is like that. there's a few average people here... who wont wreck their parents' cars and blame their "best friends" ahahaha. i cant wait to get out of here. |

i like this song. i feel thankful when i hear it. i don't really know what this song means for sure, but to me it sounds like two people who may (or may not) love each other, but he knows being with her isn't what either of them need.. even though he cant bare to be without her some days. the sunday smile is like... the innocent, pure happiness that they "wore for a while" before burning down... just to something they could look back on and admire. the love that froze everything around them, (pausing and singing) but they had to give up to better both of their lives. i dunnooooo thats probably totally off, im not sure what the white church means. |
