I think delibleu got it right on. At least that's what it seems to me since I've been through (and I guess am still going through) exactly what she describes. We now live a distance apart and the one thing that never leaves and always haunts me is just wondering if I will see her again ("will I see your face again") But it's the last verse that absolutely crushes me every time. Amazing song. |

hannibunny, you hit it on the head. at least for my understanding. but I understand AiR7on and jaywarrietto's interpretation too since I went through something similar, and this song definitely reminds me of that. all that said, this is one of his greatest songs, and the guitar riff is incredible. |

I cannot hear this song without singing along. It's just an automatic reaction anymore. No matter how down I get about life when I hear this song I start singing "I am blessed..." It really does amazing things for you when you take this approach to life. The last verse puts it all perfectly:
