iRONFLAGELLUM ok, i love JFAC and LoG, there my two favorite bands. But saying that JFAC doesn't hold a candle to LoG's technicallity is just completely not true. John RIce is an INCREDIBLE drummer, and he's like 21. Chris Adler is also fuckin amazing, but it would definitly be close. Also, JFAC's riffs are probably more intense (i play guitar, so i'm not just going out on a limb). and neither of them have incredible solos. But they both fuckin own. |

idk why all you guys bitch about Genisis. If you just take a little time to warm up to it, you'll fall in love with it cuz it fucking owns. This is an incredible song. I think, for a deathmetal song about the antichrist, it really strikes a level of emotion. I think the solo is incredible-not technically- it just sounds so good with the double bass and crash symbols after "the demons solution, a new world order" Amazing. |

ok first off, LoG isnt quite metalcore, but i think you could put them in that category cuz they tour with metalcore bands and if they sang even a little, they would be. i think to simplify it, its about people who commit suicide going to hell indefinitly. Like at the end, for example, they shout "can we still be saves?" Nope. "Does your God hold a place for us?" no, you killed yourself. i think the cursed sun is suicide. The sun representing the light and hope of releif from a horrible life. Cursed cuz if you you kill yourself, your introuble with God. I think when he says "blacken" he means, forget about the curse that is involved with the sun, cuz its bullshit. Do what you want, because its better to die quick fighting on your feet.... just an idea |

yeah its definitly about suicide, but the guys name was not Lazarus. These guys are from Cleveland, not Lebanon (yes, i did pull that country out of my ass.) I do think this is definitly supposed to be related to the Bible, itd be to much of a coincedence, and no ones named Lazarus. He's just wishing he could see Lazarus (his buddy) again. I think that at first is has a depression theme to it, and then it shifts into a religious type deal "Better to die quick, fighting on your feet, then to live forever, begging on your knees." It's saying that its better to be your own person, and not be controlled by anyone and die and have that be it (no heaven or hell), then to live forever i heaven or whatever, being a servant to a God. Really cool line. Is it just me, or is the part at the end of the song the heaviest part ever? SO awesome |

I think these lyrics are supposed to be from a God perspective. It seems to talk about how people want God to be thought of. As a person/being that doesnt really care, and whos main desire is to influence people to kill other people. This influence is a bloodlust. It makes me think of conflicts between Christians and Muslims. "This demon, cannot be hushed, these cowards must be crushed" It makes me think of Muslim extremists, who consider our Christian God, who is really the same as there God, a demon who cant be hushed. And then the cowards, or the Christians in this case, must all be crushed. Or the line "indefferent to the pain ive caused. This confession means nothing" makes me think of a really devout religious person who is still devoted to their faith even though events in there life could be blamed on God. "This Confession means nothing" sounds like God telling a person, "you killed a dude, i dont care if you confessed it to me!" just an idea. first thing that came to mind. kickin song |
