I heard this song on the oc soundtrack too. But I deffinately don't find the oc soundtrack lame whatsoever. I personally think that the oc has a lot of great music thats not mainstream garbage. But as for the song I also really like it, the title was what struck me the hardest but the actual sound and vocals are interesting too. |

To me this song is about a struggling relationship. They went on a short vacation to try and save it, but it only brought them farther apart. The chorus "Hours pass and she still counts the minutes That I am not there I swear I didn't mean for it to feel like this Like every inch of me is bruised (bruised) Don't fly fast Oh pilot, can you help me? Can you make this last? This plane is all I've got, so keep it steady now 'Cause every inch you see is bruised" is about the plane ride home. Im assuming that she'd ended the relationship, and its talking about how the ride home is their last time together, before they go their seperate ways for good. "This plane is all I've got, so keep it steady now." Im not sure if Im correct, but its an amazing song. |

I agree with the theory of someone whos dying. "all of the things i thought were so easy just got harder and harder each day" It could mean anything. If shes dying ... then it could be due to her illness, she can't do as much anymore. and the title "calender girl" meaning that she has x number of days to live. and she counts down untill shes supposed to die. " i dreamed i was dying as i so often do; and when i awoke i was sure it was true. i ran to the window threw my head to the sky, and said whoever is up there, please don't let me die" Shes praying to God, to help her through it. and the chorus' all fit. "calender girl whos in love with the world, stay alive" telling her to try and stay alive, because theres so much in the world that she loves. Overall this song is amazing, and I personally feel that Stars are amazing aswell. "but this empty bedroom won't make anything right." She feels alone and abandoned. |

I agree too. Most rediscover songs seem to be about using the girl. And again, I agree with the meaning. "I don't wanna play" Meaning mabye that he doesnt want to date, he just wants sex. I fucking love this song. Metro Station = Fucking Sex. Anyways. Its an amazing song with a simple meaning. He loves his girlfiriend, but knows its a teenage thing, and he wants to hold on to it as long as he can. |
