When I first heard this, I couldn't tell whether they were slappers after hella ass or after a dude they considered to be freaks -- as in weird -- like.. them. Haha. Still can't tell. Eh. |

My favourite Bic Runga song. I love it. I always took it as not being able to break away from someone much loved, but knowing it was past time. |

LOVE this song! Reminds me jamming with peeps, tryna get the harmonies right. Usually when drunk. So we'd fail pretty miserabley L0L.
This is easily by favourite Boyz II Men song; the lyrics are the typical slow jam formula, but I love how it's acapella. |

Emoprincess: How can you not take responsibility for your own feelings?
Agreed mass Media and Govt. have a lot of influence -- the Media in a sense more than the govt.
as people are far more jaded when it comes
to politicians and less weary of the media. But if you recognise that, as you have it seems,
then surely it's the first step in learning to
ignore the bull it tries to feed you? You can't completely blame external influences on your personal High School hell.
I liked High School well enough, sure it was pretty damn mint getting out though.
And the thing is, it never goes away, not completely. There's lots of crap to put up with after High School too. |

My favourite Beatles song. It was the first song of theirs i'd ever heard. It's such a beautiful song and to me reflects on the wonders, -simple and monumental alike- of the world we live in, which we tend to take for granted day to day. |

I downloaded this song -- yeah i'm cheap, haha -- purely because a friend showed me the lyrics. They're so damn hype!
Agreeing with Webchef on the meaning, life is a never ending cycle. We're all interdependent and interconnected. |

| Bic Runga – Drive Lyrics

I love this song, it's so.. melancholy. I also love the simplicity of the song, being played by acoustic guitar as well; it makes the lyrics that much more powerful. I always thought this song was about someone falling out of love and knowing it was time to end things, but they had so much history filled with beautiful moments, she tried to focus on them, almost in an attempt to fool herself into believing they should still be together.
"Rain fall from concrete coloured skies" is my favourite line too. Wonderful imagery. |

| The Fray – How To Save A Life Lyrics

I love this song. Though i'm always going to associate it with Grey's Anatomy, damnit, it's only flaw ;3
I think this is about someone trying to prevent something happening to someone they care about a lot; whether it be them wanting to kill themselves, or them wanting to break it off between them. What really makes this song so beautiful is the emotion in the lyric. Confusion, dread, guilt, sadness.. I love it. |

Haaaaaaaaaate this song. The lyrics are so freaking shallow and the 'moral of the story' spin is predictable.
It's nothing against Avril, maybe a first on this thread haha, I just can't stand this soooong. |

Looove this song. Yeah, when I first heard it I thought it was about the first time you had sex with someone -- first verse -- and you're still with that someone -- second verse. Just my thoughts, haha.
And I didn't know what 40's were; we got the metric system here ;D |

I always thought it was Savage feat Akon. Regardless, mint song. I think it's about alcohol, which has such a place in his life it's like a girlfriend, haha. He sets it up so you think he's rapping 'bout his gf 'til he hits you with the punchline, "I love my alcohol, what more can I say?" |

I agree, I think this is about a guy dating a girl who has a bad rep, but I always took it as people just hating on her on unfounded stuff; like people spreading untrue rumours, exaggerating like with her in the club. |

First time I hear this, I loved it. Still do. It's always abused on my iTunes, l0l. I agree about Mariah's voice, you can hear so much emotion. I especially love how from the second chorus, how the song's such with so much more power. It's like the longing's become too much. Anyways, it's beautiful (=

Ah.. unrequited love as it's finest. Can't help but be transported back to highschool when I hear this.. more specifically, when the guy I absolutely adored was fully into one of my girls. They're still together now, I still die a little inside each time I see 'em. Oh well, someone play a song for me on the world's smallest violin, l0l. |
