I believe this song may be inspired by Joyce Carol Oates' short story How I Contemplated the World from the Detroit House of Correction and Began My Life Over Again. I highly recommend the short story. |

Until I looked at the title i thought that he says "You don't have to ask" in the chorus, it sounds like he says it with a british accent like "awwsk" |

| Nickelback – If Everyone Cared Lyrics

I don't mean to be nit picky but even if everyone was completley peaceful and nonviolent it wouldn't stop death, only intentional killings. Im sure everyone realizes that but in the song he says "nobody dies" |

| Mama Cass Elliot – Make your own kind of music Lyrics

The numbers: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42, may be the constants they're hoping to change... the result to some equations. When they enter them into the computer, it runs them through the system, and checks if the results have changed... like adding 2 plus 3 gets 5 everytime... but if you're able to change mathematics themselves, maybe it would sum 6, or 4.
Anyway, just a thought.
That quote reminds me alot of 1984 and how O'brien made Winston believe that 2+2 =5. Anyway I love the use of this song in Lost, the whole song gives a sense of independence which is symbolic of Desmond David Hume's solitude. Also the song was released in 1969 and the dharma initiative was founded in 1970 so its likely that they had popular records and singles with them. |

I have never been a big fan of (his name slips my mind i think its John or something)'s work (Blink, Box-car) but this song is truly incredible. awe inspiring, Its without a doubt a flawed masterpiece. |

I love the baseline, violin and drums. I believe Polonaise is a Polish dance. Its amazing how midlake can have such despondent lyrics but maintain such beauty and old fashioned ideals. |

I dont want to get ppl mad lol I mean patd isnt that bad. The punk accent is like the dude in Good Charlotte Joel er w/e "Turn the lights awwf oyy will not go...." and then other bands use the same sort of accent, idk i dont want to get anyone pissed its just not my style. |

| Interpol – Not Even Jail Lyrics

This has to be one of Interpol's best songs. Very epic, saturated with emotion, reminds me of the city for some reason. My favorite part is "You make motion when you cry
we all hold hands,
can't we all hold hands,
When we make new plans?
It sounds like he is trying to convince a girl that he isnt so bad and that its not even jail. |

This song has to be in my top 10 coldplay songs even though I love every single song. Yes I agree with many people here in that this song is about looking for something wrong with a relationship to break it off and then realizing that you miss the person you abandoned and wanting to crawl back into their arms. |

| The Postal Service – Sleeping In Lyrics

I really hope that Ben Gibbard deciedes to make another Postal Service album. This song is a prime example of the bliss of ignorance. Whats funny is how everyone excepts global warming as fact when there are no weather records to back it up and the polar regions of earth are actually growing. This is coming from a New Yorker witnessing roughly 120 inches of snow. |

Ben Gibbard's voice is like melted gold painting a picture of pure love and freedom floating through the summer air with the celestial bodies of stars above. This song is an audible art form. |

| Coldplay – Fix You Lyrics

|
This song starts of sweet and smooth then builds up to an epic climax of raw emotion in which one's mind runs through entropy and the joy of life culminating to a glorious chorus of voices belting out this shimmering anthem of pure hope and Coldplayesque glory! So basically the kind of magic we've come to expect from the brit boys. |

This song has a certain flow and enigma that is most pleasing. I think this song is comparable in quality and feeling as warning sign on A Rush Of Blood To The Head which is an equally pwnage song. |

I am commenting on this song because A. It is another amazing song by the boys from New Orleans and B. No one else has commented on it. I believe this song is fairly straightforward in the living life with a purpose and finding your niche in this world message. |

| Stereophonics – Superman Lyrics

|
I don't think this song should represent superman or be too closely affiliated with him. I say this because of the part about the teenage blonde, I mean im not trying to sound like a goody two shoes and I know this song is more about someone who appears to be pure like Jesus or Superman, however superman is no petophile and Lois is the only girl for him. |
