some of this song has to do with rachel scott from the columbine shooting when they say "turn your tears to roses" if youve ever seen rachels challenege youd know what im taling about, anyways i love this song it is very touching and the chorus is amazing, great insperation! |

i have to agree with autums monolouge, it doesnt have to be a specific four years like hs or college it can be any general four years of his life. anyways i feel anyone who ever really liked someone and waited it out for them can relate to this song its so touching to me especially when he says "ive waited all this time to say how much i care" |

even though you could draw a comparison of this song being about a girl or break up or whatever, it isnt. i have the booklet from silversteins delux edition cd and shane says its about a time when they were on tour and he got reallys ick with pnemonia and started doubting his commitment to the band but hey, songs can mean whatever the listener wants it to mean for them |
