| Kate Nash – We Get On Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
i love this song, the meaning is pretty straightforward i don't think there should be a comma in "well embarrassing" though, well is used to mean "really" or "very" quite often i guess i don't know if it's just in london or what but i'm pretty sure that's what she meant |

| The Dangerous Summer – This Is War Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I think this is about the band and music, about being uncertain and giving up but then realising that he does really want this. "And God knows that you can't see after dark, but I won't give this up 'cause I wrote this on my chest." He doesn't really know what's going to happen but he refuses to give it up because it's what he wants in his heart or something. I'm not really sure about the "I wrote this on my chest" part but my best guess is that music is close to his heart, or he sees it as a part of him. I think this song was the first one they wrote after they got back together after that sort-of-break-up, and the atmosphere in the band was different to how it was before. Or maybe things between his family/friends and him were tense, after he'd stop isolating himself and he doesn't know if they believe in him or not, but he doesn't care because he's going to stick to music anyway. "I filled up all my future with written words. I told the whole world I was spent. I came around when they needed me, and that's just how I learned to give with all the feelings and losing sleep, in a scene where I found hope; it was a piece that I buried deep but now I never want to go." He used his lyrics to pave a future for himself. But maybe he felt he was giving away too much of himself and he wasn't sure if even that would be enough so he quit, but then he realised that he couldn't let down the people counting on him. And that deep down he still had hope even though he was trying to convince himself that they weren't going to make it. "I'll forget to take my voice as going, forget to hold my breath as spoken, and say don't you remember where you've been." I actually don't get this part much. Maybe he's saying that he's only going to concentrate on the music and forget everything else, except everything he's been through. Or maybe not. "Stay what you are" is a reference to Saves The Day I think. |

I know these are the lyrics from AJ himself, but there's a bit missing. I think it's "I came around when they needed me, and that's just how I learned to give with all the feelings and losing sleep, in a scene where I found hope; it was a piece that I buried deep but now I never want to go." |

| The Academy Is... – Season Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I can't believe I ever said that. TTYG is Fall Out Boys best album for sure. | |
| Fall Out Boy – Pavlove Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think the first line is "something make my chest stir" not "hurt". | |
| Fall Out Boy – 20 Dollar Nose Bleed Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I never used to think that Brendon and Patrick sounded similar but at some parts I actually can't tell who's singing. They are both singing the chorus aren't they? | |
| Fall Out Boy – She's My Winona Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| At first I was annoyed by it, but now I kind of love it. Especially the woah's because it kinda sounds like a thunderstorm only not really. | |
| The Maine – Santa Stole My Girlfriend Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| "Santa, you bitch" is the funniest thing. It was so random! | |
| Fall Out Boy – What a Catch, Donnie Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| The ending is the greatest ending ever. | |
| The Academy Is... – After the Last Midtown Show Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I'm not sure if it's supposed to have a double meaning, but to me the line "We're almost here again" is them saying that they're back to how they used to be. I'm not saying I dislike Santi, but it was really different to Almost Here. I think that Fast Times is more of a continuation of Almost Here whereas Santi was something else entirely and this is them acknowledging that. | |
| The Morning Light – Honest Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I think the first set of question marks is "All the born-agains and newlyweds I met on the run" That's what I hear anyway. I love this song especially the line "Aplogies endless for ending this way" |
|
| The Maine – We All Roll Along Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think the "Eighty One, Twenty Three" part is something between him and his friends. But that's just my guess. | |
| The Maine – Whoever She Is Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I completely agree with heavensent11. When I first heard this song, I actually thought it was about me. Because I'd spoken to John at the end of last year and I ended up telling him how shit everything was going and he told me he'd been in the same situation and gave me some really awesome advice which could be pretty much summed up in this song. But obviously it's not just about me, it's about life. |

| Gym Class Heroes – Cookie Jar (feat. The-Dream) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song is quite good in general. But for a GCH song it's not that great. I'd say the meaning is pretty obvious. | |
| The Academy Is... – Unexpected Places Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"The song is definitely talking about identity and relationships and knowing somebody, but then when it comes right down to it, you only know as much as somebody exposes you to. And I think in a lot of ways, you only know yourself as well as you admit to yourself you are. So that song has a lot to do with identity and the whole spectrum of social behavior, but at the same time it’s also very personal. As far as specifics and things like that, I’m going to leave that to you, but that song was particularly meant to be a song like that, open for interpretations, with very focused intentions." This is song is beautiful! I agree with shinedown. I've been votinng for The Academy Is... on aol music breakers nearly everyday now and i just heard this song. I would vote for them but I would feel like I'm betraying TAI. But I won't mind too much if we lose to them as long as it's not that brick and lace group. |

| This Providence – Patience Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
i love this song! i think the bit you missed was "Oh, you're so beautiful but i can't take what's not mine." It makes a lot more sense that way. I think its a boy and girl who want to be together but the girl has a boyfriend (and the guy might too) so they have to keep their relationship quiet. They're waiting until they can be together officially, hence the patience. They want to run away but know they should wait. I love the line "Cause we're so young but we're not foolish, honey, surely we can wait" and the part notetoselfis8 is talking about. |

I agree with Stupendous. And i think that no matter how great Take This To Your Grave is, Infinity On High is so much better. |

|
| Gym Class Heroes – Faces In The Hall Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
i LOVE this song. but to me it sounds like he's saying "Don't be slave and behave the way they do Just utilize the gifts that God gave you Don't be a slater and hate the way they do Just utilize the gifts that God gave you" x2 |

| Cute Is What We Aim For – I Put The 'Metro' In Metronome Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
i think "suburban urgency has got the best of me" means that he has cant resist the urge to get with an uptown girl the first time i heard "Style doesn't matter when you're on your back Your clothes won't fit the season You're cold and that's the reason" i thought it meant style doesnt matter when ur dead cos ur'll be wearing whatever ur buried in and u'll wear that every season, hot or cold. |

| this is a great song. it's actually 'to be despised'; says so on pete wentz's FBR journal | |
| Fall Out Boy – This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race (Remix) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I love the remix as I'm a fan of many music genres but i can understand why some people might not like it. But "The arms race made them raise their arm" kinda ruins it. I know Kanye said he doesn't understand the song but it sound so childish. Apart from that it's a great song and I agree with Sweetheart210, they really are expanding and their music is starting to reflect their own music tastes. |

| (+44) – When Your Heart Stops Beating Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
at first i thought this song was about a guy who was always gonna be there for a girl because he was in love with her. but after a few listens it sounded a bit like a guy was telling a girl how he was always gonna be there but the whole thing was just a cop out. he sound mad at her for some reason and its as if he wants revenge. "i'll be there when your heart stops beating" if her heart stopped beating she would be dead and therefore wouldn't know whether he was there or not "i'll be there when your last breath is taken away" again she would be dead and wouldnt know if he was there "in the dark when theres no one listening" she wouldnt be able to see or hear him and no one else would either "in the times when we both get carried away" they might take their argument a bit too far and he ends up doing something he would regret, killing her |
|
| Fall Out Boy – This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race (Remix) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| well the remix has the same meaning as the original and kanye's addition is pretty straightforward. | |
| The Fray – Trust Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i think this song is about being alone and trying to figure out what your supposed to be doing and the way the world works. but i think the song is trying to say that everybody is having a go, trying to figure out the same thing but you might never find out. | |
