| iono this is just how ive always looked at the song, but i always felt it was about a couple who do truly love each other, maybe in that whole soul mates style, but somewhere along the way things went wrong and they went they're seperate ways, and in the same, crazy collision way they met, they found each other again, and the whole time they were seperate, there was a hole where that person used to be, now that they've met again, they're saying the door is open, please come back into my life | |

| i agree with wut ace said, this isnt about who's right or wrong, wuts moral or immoral, its about sharing ideas, and as far as the song being about smoking pot, i dont think thats wut ben's singing about here, he's saying that he's gonna do wut he's gonna do and be himself, and if that means smoking pot, he's not harming anyone by doing so, so if thats who you are, go ahead, but if u dont agree with it and dont like smoking, then thats fine too, be who you are, and as long as ur not harming anyone, who cares? everyone on here getting all pissed about the whole smoking thing saying that he's "not a good christian" well then ur missing the whole point of the song, and ur whole religion | |

everyone on this site needs to start giving bands way more credit for getting the messed up world we live in and stop saying they're always singing about drugs and being f'ed up. yes i would say they might have been doin somethin wen they came up with the idea for this song (shrooms im assuming), but dont underestimate the lyrics, they're not just a meaningless group of words written while f'ed up, its an entire philisophical idea. if you look they start off "Floatin' 'round my brain, tryin' to think about the other thing. Than that thought you know I'm considering. What if what I thought, about who I think I thought I was, was nothing more than my cerebellum slobbering?" anyone who's ever put some thought into things will get this. we as people have no idea wut reality really is or wut this entire world is about and the meaning to it. it all could just be a made up reality our brain creates, who knows... "You'll know yer on it when your brain won't stop to take a break," - they're even telling you right here that you're actually on the right path of thinking if ur mind is spiraling in a million directions, keep going... "So when donut boy comes askin' around, tryin' to figure out somethin' new, you just smile and say, "Pardon you! I'm sitting through some particles and farcing through some folds. I've stumbled upon a brain fart which melts away you molds!" - i actually really like azwethinkweizm's idea on this part, about donut boy. i def see how this could be someone, who doesnt understand deeper philosophy and comes around trying to grasp a concept he doesnt understand. "tumbling on a brain fart which melts away you molds" is refering to making the realization that most people are just molds, shaped by society around them. This new info that has been released from the depths of his brain "melts" the molds of wut society has told him he's supposed to be. Alot of their songs talk about this idea, drive, vitamin ect. "Some think I'm insane, 'cause I think about the other thing, than that one thought you call reality..
