It sort of seems like his heart wants one thing and his mind wants another. he tells her to sacrifice herself and let him have whats left and he knows he can find the fire in her eyes... and then he tells her to get away from him. then goes on to say that she takes his breath away. He feels strongly for her but she probably left him and then did something to make it worse "pour salt into the open wound". |

I think it is about a guy who let a girl go, despite what she meant to him. he secretly still has feelings for this girl. maybe he is dying inside the walls that he has put up as a barrier of protection. maybe he wants her to know how he feels. |

I think its about a relationship that is ending, or one that has already ended and he isnt really sure where she stands, he would try to kiss her but he doesnt know how she will react. she seems in control of the situation.
and i think hes saying to himself "this can't be the end" ..he doesnt want to believe it is.. i guess. |
