| Better Than Ezra – Waxing Or Waning? Lyrics | 18 years ago |

the last stanza is actually: But I see you there A light at the top of the stairs But so far away And I recall all Your dreams and your schemes moving me The sense that it made A street serenade. |

i love this side of p!nk. it's different, kind of overpowering. You took my hand You showed me how You promised me you'd be around Uh huh That's right I took your words And I believed In everything You said to me Yeah huh That's right that reminds me of this boy. i loved him, and he turned out to be a jerk, but it was like, i believed everything he said to me.. this is the best song i've heard in a while. and that's saying something. it put me in tears, and i'm not really an emotional person. |

| i don't know, i like the notes for the tim mcgraw version, but i like the energy better in this one. but i don't like it so much as a duet. they made it work, but i wouldn't have done it that way, given the choice. | |

| i think that too many people are focusing on the exact lyrics, especially the hair part. the song seems to me to be about finding yourself. you know, expressing who you are. in this instance, it's expressing yourself through music, but it's not always that way. you can express yourself through your clothes, writing, music, and yes, hair. but she's basically saying, "don't worry, be happy. not everything will be perfect, but you'll still be you. and while the world will change, you'll, in essence, stay the same. so just let yourself free and be who you are." | |

rikku22 and kbetray are right. it's definitely "burning bridges, making wishes" instead of "burning bridges, make your wishes." love this song. one of my favs on the album. |

amazing song. amazing voice. it's definitely about falling in love. the way i see it, she's already fallen in love, but it's all sort of gone "to pieces." somehow, it didn't work out. and now she's left having to deal with it, and it's hurt ["love doesn't hurt, so i know i'm not falling in love"] but she's moving on. "driving away" |
