Nevermore – The Psalm of Lydia Lyrics 18 years ago
It is the Psalm or "song sung to harp" or in this case guitar and also "religious song" of Lydia a historic region of western Europe, also was a kingdom, and it is talking about how Lydia had slain these demons and how this guy sees this to tell the tale... it probably has a deeper meaning, but in all literal(not sure how to spell it) sense it is what i said...

Tool – The Patient Lyrics 19 years ago
I agree with SpiralOut and I have always listened to this song when i was down, and never knew why, but if i think about it, the part below is true, if there were no rewards to reap i certainly wouldve "walked away"(taken my life) but i keep reminding myself there is still things to live for and that this "vampire" of a down feeling though draining is starting to get old. This song makes me realize how dumb people who commit suicide are, i mean they may have their own reason, but if they could find just one thing to hold on to they couldve gotten out of the pit of depression, ahh im ranting, but anyway great song!

"If there were no rewards to reap (I must keep reminding myself of this)
No loving embrace to see me through (I must keep reminding myself of this)
This tedious path I've chosen here (I must keep reminding myself of this)
I certainly would've walked away (I must keep reminding myself of this)
By now"
