i live in omaha, and in Conor's lifetime, Omaha could hardly be considered a small, rural town. Omaha is a pretty large city. it's had a population of over 300,000 since the 60's and currently has a population of about 422,000. (: not much of a tourist trap, either.
and i also doubt that he is talking about his fans. probably more about the omaha world-herald or the media or just people saying "omg a famous guy from omaha", he's a bit of a god in the arts and travel section.
now that i'm done defending my city, it's probably about omaha but i'm not sure. |
