I can't really remember anybody who can mix pain, sorrow, anger and regret in such a brilliant way within a song. Yet a thrilling emotion, both on soft parts and hard parts. It's quite obvious that James ended up writing this song after the summing of the maltreated days of his own life. Because one could not compose, i believe, such an impressive unit without having something lived. This makes the song sincere and that's why people feel close to this song. By the way, i've watched The Theatrical Version of The Unforgiven lately. Can anyone get what The Boy and Girl are talking? As far as I get: The Girl: You are in my heart. The Boy: And you are in my blood. Finally I think that this song can be better understood by explaining the video in detail because Metallica tells lots of things than thought in the video. |
