"Disney-esque, the high priestess" Alot of disney/fairy tale puns in here. But what stood out the most for me were the cinderella references. "At the stroke of midnight come" "The final dance will be the cue, She amputates to fit the shoe" I remember in one version of cinderella I heard when I was little is that one of the step sisters cut off her big toe or part of her foot in order to fit into cinderella's shoe. Thus the "amputated" reference. |

Yea that movie should be ineresting, and no it is not a comedy. This really goes to show how good of a actor jim carrey is. The movie centers around the idea of a book written by someone who is obcessed with the number 23. And jim himself said he had began to pick up on the number himself after getting it from a friend. So yea you can see these number crunches in the movie, about the death of kurt cobain, 9/11 and stuff adding up to 23. But as a note, 2 divided by 3 is actually 0.66 repeating and normally written as 0.666667 so in fact although a priest says it in the movie it is not totally true. (As in it does not calculate at exactly 0.666) |
