i love this song, it's beautiful. but i am very disappointed by the dvd version. i don't think matthews voice is strong enough to carry the song with NO help at all. especially not the girls part. |

from what i've heard, this entire album is based on pirates. "A shipwreck, a castaway. "All is said, so memorable. Let her drive more, I will drive" this part bothers me. because it doesn't really make sense to me and the lyrics are different in the cd booklet. is this really what he's saying? it's so hard to tell with the way he stretches out his words. |

it seems like a relationship is falling apart. he is telling her that he doesn't care and telling her to leave, but it's obvious throughout the song that he's only trying to cover up his feelings. "i never wanted a partner, and i never loved you, now you are free to leave" gives me chills. saddest line in the song by far. i could be wrong but that's just what it means to me. |
