"I heard he sang a good song, I heard he had a style." -she is talking about how she goes to lik a poetry place, and everyone was telling her about this poet and how good he was "And there he was this young boy, a stranger to my eyes" -she is talking about how she had never met this guy b4 "Strumming my pain with his fingers, singing my life with his words, killing me softly with his song, killing me softly with his song, telling my whole life with his words, killing me softly with his song." -she is talking about how she was hearing his poem, and she related to the poem so much, she knew that poem was talking about her "I felt all flushed with fever, embarrassed by the crowd, I felt he found my letters and read each one out loud. I prayed that he would finish but he just kept right on" -she was shocked by how much she related to the poem, that she felt he found her diary and read all her pages.she felt almost embarresed by it. "He sang it as he knew me in all my dark despair and then he looked right through me as if I wasn't there. But he was there this stranger singing clear and strong" -she felt like he new her inside and out.she felt that he was there through all the good and bad times, yet she new he was just a stranger.she felt as if they new each other but he looked at her lik a stranger also overall one of my favorites!!!! |
