i have to agree with vocalchik. especially because of the lines: "If you can be good you’ll live forever; If you’re bad, you’ll die when you die" and, "hearing only one true note" - the only other person is the torturer... "Lend to my ear a clear and a deafening sound" - hoping for help to come... plus, the beat does give a rather haunting feeling. |

"Never speak a word again I will crawl away for good "No thought was put in to this I always knew it would come to this" (I believe it may be about living the music business -- being that Kurt had been planning to.) "Things have never been so swell I have never failed to fail" (He may be saying that he had unexpectedly made "popular" music, is happy with how far it's gone and would just like to take a "break" and enjoy his life.) "Let’s talk about someone else Steaming soup against her mouth Nothing really bothers her She just wants to love herself" (Most likely about Courtney and how she will be happy with Kurt leaving the music industry, being that she will be able to become better known with him out of the way...) I don't think it's about suicide at all. But I also think Comus' interpretation fits. |
