I think it is about not living your life the way you want or to its fullest. The cynic is cynical of God and the optimist believes in God. The cynic ends up having 26 beers, because he doesn't give a shit about any the ramifications. The optimist decides to play it safe and have just one... But they both end up dying from it. The beer symbolizes all the things that the optimist has never done, but the cynic has done all the wanted to. So who has lived a better life? |
