| Manu Chao – Por el Suelo Lyrics | 1 year ago |
|

During his time in Athens, Michael Lachowski, of Pylon, ran an answerphone service known as the Athens Party Telephone. Its initialism, A.P.T., was used in the lyric to "Stumble". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronic_Town |

| Death Cab for Cutie – Before the Bombs Lyrics | 3 years ago |
| If this isn't the most danceable song by DCfC ever, I don't know what is... | |
| Death Cab for Cutie – Blue Bloods Lyrics | 3 years ago |
| Gives me 'Transatlanticism' vibes... | |
| R.E.M. – It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine) Lyrics | 4 years ago |
| I believe Mike Mills sings "Can't I have some time alone?" instead of the posted "time I had some time alone" | |
| R.E.M. – Strange Lyrics | 4 years ago |
| These lyrics are for 'Strange currencies' of "Monster", not 'Strange' of "Document"... | |
| Stromae – Alors on danse Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I agree, although I would replace ainsi with assis, so" Lui dit assis dans la merde" ("He said, sitting in (the) shit") In fact there's no ecstasy at all. It sounds more like "Et seraient ainsi tous le problemes, tous les problemes ou bien la musique" ("And all the problems will be like this, all the problems or the music") |

| Too bad the album version has been altered. Also lyricwise :-( | |
| Stromae – Alors on danse Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Glad to see my lyrics got posted! :-D Anyway, great song! Nice rhythm & lyrics. The way they're sung makes me think of Jacques Brel... His body language suggests this even more... Anyone else with me on this? |

| The National – Afraid of Everyone Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Again, intheknow is right. I hear "Venom radio and venom television". Also logical regarding the context. | |
| The National – Afraid of Everyone Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I agree with intheknow. It's "Yellow voices swallowing my soul, soul, soul" & it does make sense with all the color references. | |
| Frightened Rabbit – Living in Colour Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Another correction (At least what I hear): "mock the man, whisper and the sickness will go away" should be: "mock my mouth, who whispers that the sickness will go away" Indeed a very happy upbeat song for FR standards, but Scott told in an interview (I believe it's on the Fat Cat Records website) that whereas "Midnigh Organ Fight" was about the loss of a relationship & the pain that comes with it, he didn't have anything to be sad about anymore which allowed for happier lyrics on this album. |

| Frightened Rabbit – Good Arms vs. Bad Arms Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Think I got one: "and the difference astounding, i should expect" I hear: "and the difference is astounding, i should expect" Which in context makes more sense. |
