i'm no maggot but i am a BIG slipknot fan, to my understanding a maggot is someone who dedicates themselves to slipknot and loves all their music (tell me if i'm wrong) i'm a pretty boy if i do have a label (if so i've never seen it), but does that make my opinion on music i like this of any less worth? i see in these posts a lot of hate towards people who aren't hardcore fans of slipknot and bands alike but like their music all the same just because they wear burberry or like to do the "big fish little fish cardboard box" thing what does the label society's put on someone have to do with what music they like? i.e. someone gave a guy with linkin park in his name abuse for putting his opinion on a slipknot song on here jut because he likes linkin park doesn't devalue his opinion on slipknot i just think everyone's opinion is equal on everything no matter what other music you like or what high school group you fall into unless you're a keyboardist lol as said in metal hammer "go pluck yourself" i kid - keyboardists are cool, i just don't see the point of one in a rock\metal band (personal opinion and preference of course) anyways: this song, i feel, is about the problems the band went through and how he delt with them - badly probably given the downbeat of the song |

"loaded god complex" is a refernce to some guy's superiority complex, possibly who he wants to be? "cock it and pull it" = see what effect that complex has on everyone, as it's using the gun as a metaphor around the superiority complex i think that effect would be a destructive one also: loved this song for a while then it got boring one of my friends put forward the idea that it could be about getting laid, dunno what anyone thinks about that idea, could be having now read it through i suppose |
