to me this song is about a person who is pushed to conform their whole life and someone or something introduces him to "the black parade" the people who are different like him but dont care what other people think about them. he then joins the black parade. basically in a nutshell, i'm different and dont care what you think about it theme. (great theme in my opinion.)
P.S.the sometimes i get the feelin shes watchin over me quote i think is either talkin about gerards grandmother (like in helena) or a someone that was special to "the Patient" but is now gone. |

COBvsDETHKLOK way to make a completely wrong assumption. i actually dont have the great life you speak of. i will not get into the details, but let me tell you that my life is extremely extremely far from happy. i hold one of the bands that you mentioned earlier that was gay, not FOB but another i wont mention the name of the band bc this is not their song, personally responsible for saving my life. things were going bad in my life, deaths and things of that sort, and i fell into some stuff that i had no business being in and one of my friends was playin their music and i liked it so i bought the cd. the words in their songs taught me that it is ok to be different. even when things are going wrong you can still go on. so to fill you in no i dont have the easy life. so get the facts before you make assumptions about people. |

hey COBvsDETHKLOK does children of bodom write their lyrics in crayon. just kiddin. they sound ok, the instrumentals are good.i like the dark sound of them, but to me the lyrics arent deep enough. a person in a coma with 10% brain waives could figure out what their talking about. they have no meaning under the lyrics. all the songs seem to be about the same thing to me. dont get me wrong i like the way they sound but i'm just not feeling the lyrics. the reason to listen to fall out boy is right in the chorus of this song "the lies i weave are oh so intricate." the lyrics actually make you think "man are they talkin about this or that or what." you have to use that thing that most people today just use as a hat rack and think about what the band is actually saying. i'm not tellin you that you have to be an unconditional FOB fan, but at least give them some credit. ill tell you right now FOB is far from my fav band but i still listen to them every once in a while bc i have a little respect for what they do. |

COBvsDETHKLOK i dont under stand why you resort to going on the internet and bashing bands that actually make you use your brain and think a little where the music you listen to sounds like two silverback gorrillas mating in the wild. children of bodom arent worth a velvet picture of a dolphin and a whale gettin' it on, but you dont catch me on their songs saying" oh this bands sucks bc they their lyrics are on a 4th grade reading level" do you. so why come to this band and bash them. i would like to know what good you are doing when you do this. tell me one good reason and i will go and buy a children of bodom cd. |

i think that this song is about a horrible break up that hurt both parties extremely bad. i think that the "knife" is something that he has done to hurt her and that he extremely regrets it now. her eyes still show the hurt and he went blind means that he lost his love of life. it is pintless. the onl part of the song i dont understand is the hell burns brights when the night dies part. this is what i got from the song but im retarded so ... |

i think that this song is talking about older people being scared of teenagers. when they "say darken your clothes or strike a violent pose but not me" i always thought it was talking about the adults trying to scare kids into submission by looking really mean but that isnt what gerard does. when it says what you got under youre shirt... i always thought it meant that is what older people are driving teenages into shooting up there schools bc they are told they arent as good bc they dont fit in or they are diff. this is what i thought the song meant but im new to the theme game so dont know if im right or not. |
