Everyone assumes that the narrator is a 'she'. Of course, there is no way for certain to say whom Regina is channeling in this song....but for some reason I imagine a proud man having this sort of attitude towards cancer, wanting to go out in style rather than slowly wasting away. To me, it seems to have more of a masculine sound to it, buuuut, what do I know? |

It was actually heartbreaking for me to hear, even before I knew the lryics, I already knew what the song was about. I for one, am very pro life, so hearing the song from the child's perspective was absolutely...tragic really. Though, I believe even if a person were pro choice, this song would still hurt.
Dir en grey was very clever with this song, because although controversial, both the song and video provoked thought. His change in tones, the added conversation, the child laughing then crying, all of it was brilliant.

One of the more disturbing songs of Dir en grey...song still gets to me.
Rape gets to me even more worse with the rape of a child , and the way he describes it you can almost imagine what really does go through a rapists mind--It always astounds me how Kyo is capable of revealing the darkest part of the human mind and making it known musically.

First time I heard this song, was the live version and even before knowing the translation, I knew that this song hit really close. It amazes me still, that although we love the music we can not always understand lyrically, we can still become connected with the song and feel deeply towards it.
After I found the translation it really meant so much. Absolutely adore this song. |
