The Mars Volta – Viscera Eyes Lyrics 18 years ago
The translation isn't supposed to be done so literally. If someone spoke with the words in their places from a spanish sentence but put it to english, they'd sound like Yoda and vice versa. Over all the translation was okay but not exactly what the words mean. Now, if you read it, the lines about the daughter and the cross is a much clearer example of telling someone to quit playing the martyr. I hope this helps.

Por quando te vi enfermo con mentiras
[around when I saw you sick with lies]
Este ladron cuenta se dio
[this thief became aware]
Trapa mal hecho de trampas
[trap poorly made of traps]
te lo juro que yo si te mato
[I swear to you, I will kill you]
Y con cada dia que se pase recuerdate
[and with every day that passes remember]
Quien era el mas poderoso
[who was the most powerful]

Hay mi hija no me llores
[Oh my daughter, don't you cry to me]
Porque te quito de esta cruz
[Because I'll remove you from this cross]
A noche te vi caminando
[last night i saw you walking]
Sin la alma de tu cuerpo
[Without your body's soul]
En los brasos
[in the arms]
sin luz
[without light]

John Frusciante – Look On Lyrics 19 years ago
For some reason, this song makes me think of him writing about Anthony's perspective on some of it as the mention of going to Downtown L.A. and getting picked up by the cops is something that happened to Anthony. Then again i could totally be off base, lol.

Concrete Blonde – Joey Lyrics 19 years ago
It's most definitely not about Joey Ramone. Johnette was on the radio here in L.A. earlier today and did a short acoustic version of "Joey" live in the studio at Indie 103.1. It was beautiful. She later said that it was about an ex who died and not Joey Ramone as she'd never met Joey.
