This song is about a guy who has had a couple failed relationships and finds another person he is attracted to. The person he's attracted to though doesn't think it's right to be with him. my parachute didn't open (first relationship) and when my back up failed (second relationship) the pixie dust prevailed (new person - pixie dust is more magical than parachutes) and i woke up next to you (found new person) all i wanted was to hold you ( i liked you right away) i was born in a city however small it held a hospital for location where i came into being it was all down hill from there (the area he's been in where he's dated girls, realizing there's a much bigger world out there) what do you do when your lifes a disaster and your moving faster and its getting harder to breathe ( he's starting to really like this person) what do you say if someone is right but (The person doesn't think they should be together) you disagree even if its the truth ( He knows they probably shouldn't be) i was told you are depressed by a little bird (referring to his thoughts about this person) that was severely hurt (when he got declined) as it did not notice my window it just flew wherever the wind blows (window referring to brain, he didn't realize until after he was declined that it was wrong of them to be together) as it convulsed on the pavement it whispered i am hated (after being declined, he's feeling really down) your genetic flaws i said say it all you cant decipher reflections form reality (he's telling that person maybe they can look past the reasons they can't be together) but neither can i (then realizes he's dreaming if he thinks he can get with that person) i noticed neither can i i noticed neither can i i noticed neither can i you are the circle i am the square i have the non cut you have the cool hair we both take showers for almost an hour but only once a week or two (just describing the reasons they'd be a good couple) what do you do when your lifes a disaster and your moving faster and its getting harder to breathe (see above) what do you say if someone is right but you disagree even if its the truth (see above) That's what I take this song to mean. I relate to it 100% when taken that way. |

| I think this song is about a couple that has cheated on each other and they are both confessing. In the first verse talking about how they could fix their relationship.
