From an interview with Jake... "We have another song about someone putting someone through hell, lying to them, and betraying them. I know many people with this similar story. As people, it's really hard for us to forgive someone for all the horrible things they've done to us, especially when they're close to us, such as family or a friend. That song is lyrically pretty brutal, but at the end it just speaks about forgiveness. To truly love someone is to forgive that person." I'll just leave that here. =) |

| I laugh at the people who get on others cases because they think it's about soldiers. Seriously, chill out. Can't things have double meanings sometimes? Can't some people see things differently then others or is your religious view the only thing that is acceptable? Yes, I do believe the song fits a more religious theme because AILD is a Christian band, but can't other people think it can be about soldiers and normal people refusing to give up their lives to protect others? Some of you got extremely defensive when someone brought up it could be about soldiers and not Christ. So let other people have a voice as well, your religious views aren't always the "correct" way. | |

I'll say that this song doesn't really do it for me. It's probably my least favorite on the album. But... The lyrics are absolutely amazing. Adam really knows how to get messages across through every song he writes, especially this one. It's quite awesome. |

The second to last stanza is wrong. It should be... "So pitiful what you are, should have seen this coming all along" This is a good song. It seems a little lighter then their previous album so far, but this is the only song i've heard and it's still good. Can't wait! |
