Ohhh...forgot to post what I believe it means....
I think they're saying if they stop singing about God, if their purpose of being a band is gone, that they will be empty. Something like that.
It's really meaningful to me 'cause I love music, I like to sing, and I want to start a band. I don't want to stop singing about my faith, I don't want to forget my forgiveness.
So yeah. Sorry if my comment made no sense, LOL, but tihs is what it means to me. |

I'm not sure if everyone reads past comments, 'cause I did post a quote from some article of Aaron saying what the song means, it's kinda obvious....
Anyways, the song, album, and video are absolutely amazing! I think he's really obsessed with making music if he's in two bands. Underoath will still remain my personal favorite 'cause I think it's good to have a HXC band with brutal screams from Spencer and then you have Aaron's amazing voice to put melody into the mayhem, it works so well! Plus if you listen to like a couple of songs on Define The Great Line, you'll hear both of them sing together and it sounds wonderful
Back to The Almost...I do love his side-project, he has interesting lyrical skills and song titles. It's one of those CDs that is catchy and stuff and is kind of addicting and you can listen to it over and over again! Underoath, on the other hand, can actually be hardcore that doesn't give you a headache after multiple listens. So either way, each band he is in is amazing!

Unfortunately, I have no idea where to get music from their first two efforts on Takehold since it's out of print now, but I saw a recorded LIVE performance of this song on the This Is Solid State Vol.4 bonus DVD and there's some footage from furnance fest 2002, and they played this and it was so amazing! I wish I had their first two project v_v |

By viewing the video, if you've seen it, with all the ropes tying up the members and the destruction, it might of something to do with chaos. I feel this song is about utter chaos in some sense and confusion, I don't know, but whatever it means, the video and song is amazing. |

Very simple, this song is a total wake up call. I love the line "it's all worth reaching for the hand to pull you out" 'cause that basically means to reach for God's hand and it's worth reaching for it.
About the 777 thing, I do think it means something, not only Underoath has talked about it. I remember Family Force 5 on TMW playing "celebrity uno" (yeah, you have to be a viewer of TVU Music Television to understand) and Soloman put down a 7 and said "that's a holy number right there" and host Obadiah said "yeah, it is"

I have to say this is my favorite song on the entire album. I don't know why, but I feel it relates to me. My favorite part is "But that's the problem, we never speak to Him, now our closing walls have caged us in and I can't quite remember"
To me, that is about praying. I feel it relates to me in some ways 'cause at one point I'm afraid to talk to God about how I feel and that I need His help and by not speaking to Him I feel more trapped ("now our closing walls have caged us in"). Another part I like is "Oh my God, I hate the me that I become, this needy useless forgetting one, truthfully I can't be the me that I've washed up to be" I don't know why I feel that relates to me, maybe it does I just don't know it. This is just a down right amazing song, basically I think it's about struggling through life. This is the song from Underoath that means the most to me.
Define The Great Line is just amazing, I was patient and waited for the album, I spent 18 bucks, but hey, it was worth every freakin' cent! |

Okay...this is the first Underoath song I ever heard, maybe that's one of the reasons I love it so much...I first heard it on RadioU!!! Anyways, yes, they ARE a open Christian band, that's why I love them so much, but not all of their songs are about God, but this song still has a great meaning behind it. Well, it seems, to be about a guy who is coping the aftermath of pre-martial sex and knowing what he did was wrong. Basically, in my opinion, the song is basically saying "do it before marriage, you'll regret it, trust me" that's the message I get from this song. |

I love this song! It's my favorite on the whole Comatose CD! I think it's about a someone hurting really bad and the friend is telling them "I'll always be there for you" and stuff like that, not letting them say goodbye, just holding them tight and being everywhere and everything for that one person. |

I freakin' love this song! The paino in it is nice and Matt's vocals are always great to listen to. Not quite sure what it means though, but by the title, I think it is about how we all have been forgiven and we can forgive each other...but that's what I get from the song, it could mean something totally different |
