Yeah, I agree the first time I heard this song I almost cried. The guitar brings the sound of the sea to life, and could reflect the waves of light spinning round getting brighter and then fading, then coming round again. When the song kicks in, it's like a massive wave crashes against the lighthouse, and everything just crumbles and topples. Definately the best song from the album, also I hear definate influences of Jim Morrison, Ian Curtis, and Thom Yorke. |

Sorry that last comment was vague and irrelevant. "Defacing pictures of famous people on the train Standing by the monument just waiting for the rain" I think this means that the girl is on the train moving away, and the guy is waiting by the monument waiting for her but she's gone so he's just waiting for the rain, for nothing. Just wasting his time. |
