| Lacuna Coil – Spellbound Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
If anyone cares, I think this song is trying to portray the fear of being judged by others. "Burning here, in my room/Feeling that the walls are moving closer": "I'm so petrified by the thought of people thinking badly of me that I'd rather just stay inside: if they can't see me, they can't hate me." "Tell me who you are" seems like a breaking-point outburst of frustration, like screaming to no-one in particular, "why do I care what any of you think about me anyway? What gives you the right?" "Everywhere I go/I am spellbound"; "I can't get rid of these feelings. I know they're unreasonable, but that doesn't change the fact that the feelings are there." This is the interesting part. "You cannot have this control of me/I will break the spell you put on me" is the grand defiance; "Hell with all of you; I won't let you bring me down." That's my interpretation, anyway. |

| I actually think this song has to do with having children.. I could be way off the mark but that's what I get from it. | |
| Diary of Dreams – Butterfly: Dance! Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I absolutely love this song. Diary of Dreams' lyrics are a little complicated.. I don't think there's much of a story behind this particular song, but I love the depth of the lyrics, and "My thoughts are my bible, that's by what I live," is one of my favorite lyrics of all time. I would have worded it differently, personally, but it's still brilliant. | |
| Nightwish – Over the Hills and Far Away (Gary Moore cover) (feat. Tony Kakko) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I'm a little late on the Nightwish bandwagon but I recently found this band, and this song is just awesome. I agree with TheDarkJay as far as he didn't want to ruin his friends' marriage, but I don't know if i agree with the marriage being ended anyway. | |
| Zeromancer – Something For The Pain Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"I like it better when remixed by apoptygma berzerk" Yeah, it's much better. Either way though, this song is awesome. Sounds to me like it's about a pretty hardcore crush over someone he knows he can't have, and he's feeling pretty pathetic about it. A friends' girl, perhaps. |

| Tool – 10,000 Days (Wings Pt. 2) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Absolutely amazing song. Knocked me off my feet the first time I heard it. I'd heard it before Wings pt. I, and this struck me as much better. I wonder if it would have been different had I heard part I first. It's been explained countless times, but yes, Maynards' mother as the basis. I think it goes deeper, as would and do most . I think that Maynard is totally sarcastic about Christianity (even though this is a serious song), and isn't as nuts about it as people seem to think. I personally believe the death of his mother made him think more seriously about religion, not necessarily in the way of accepting it, though. Seriously though, can you see a devout Christian shouting at heavens gate "Fetch me the spirit, the Son, and the Father" and demanding wings, whether the line be intended for his mothers' or his own? This is just my opinion based solely on this song, I've not read much further into his true opinions or feelings. |

| KoЯn – Play Me (feat. Nas) Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I hate the fact that I like this song. I disagree that 'this song is no exception' to hard rock and rap mixes, I think it's just about the only mix of the two that's skimmed past as an exception. Though I do hate Nas. A lot. |
