The Fray – How To Save A Life Lyrics 19 years ago
this is what i found on another site..... In an interview with USA Today, lead singer Isaac Slade explained that he wrote this song about an experience he had working at a camp for troubled youths: "One of the kids I was paired up with was a musician. Here I was, a protected suburbanite, and he was just 17 and had all these problems. And no one could write a manual on how to save him. I got a lot of email about it. One kid died in a car accident, and I guess it had been the last song he downloaded from his computer. They played it at his funeral, and some of his friends got 'Save a life' tattooed on their arms. The response has been overwhelming." (thanks, jaque - alvin, TX)
but...songs hold different meanings to everyone, just because this is what hes writeing about doesnt mean that what i think about is wrong. i think about my best friend who was at my house the night he died, i talked to him about the fact that i thought he was using drugs again and he said he wasnt and he left and i let him go. if i had known that if i had made him stay and tell me the truth i could have saved a life. i didnt know how to stop him and now hes gone and thats what i think about when i hear the song.
