When I heard the song, I thought it was about starting over and forging a new identity. But then I saw the music video, which is full of political stuff, so I don't really know what LP is trying to say with this song.
Is it about how us fatass Americans, living in luxury and getting fat should rethink our lives, because in other parts of the world, people have to live with death and starvation every day? |

I think this song is about living under oppressive parents who lie and manipulate you to keep you under their control. That's why I really like this song, because I can identify with it. |
