Bob Dylan – Only a Pawn in Their Game Lyrics 16 years ago
Robert Zimmerman was born under a fast star, Mercury, and if u find the black & white video of this song, He tells the upset & scorned crowd that as he sees it, in three verses, the murderer was a poor white man, and a pawn in the game of wealthy and manipulative groups who use and need individuals to perform & provide for their needs, wants, and labor agenda. a pawn is often used to distract and delay and destroy organisation of labor groups and consensual togetherness of laborers as this may lead to revolution; The Turning of the Wheel, Zimmerman reveals true guts and agility delivering this song, at such a young age, before a large crowd of angry & upset individuals , and sings this song which neither side really wants to hear, for it Rings with boldness, applause as he quietly scedaddles offstage. That is a big apple under the name Dylan.

David Bowie – Watch That Man Lyrics 16 years ago
5.8.08 I love the opening guitar sound. Firsthand, Shakey is Bowie, I'ts his party. So the song is Biographical of college nights then. The necessity and placement is homage to Dylan's highly successful LP 'Bringing it on home' which opens with an uptempo lighthearted party description song. The 'Bleeding' line is a 'hats off' to Jaggar and the stones & Brian who drowned. The individual messages are warnings of what not to get fooled by , attitudes & events, during social gatherings, all put to music & well worth the album purchase. I'd like to note here these are my opinion at this time. Also, if you look at the first song on 'Nevermind' , You'll see that it too is a lighthearted uptempo party description song, and it is very successful. Dylan - Bowie - Cobain mca5516

The Wallflowers – One Headlight Lyrics 16 years ago
At this point, it's a free-for-all, being the third page of meanings'. So here goes - 'Numbers in songs' , Lionel Richie said "One, Two, Three times a Lady" meaning it took him three headlghts to drive it home. Cobain, on the other hand, sings in 'TEEN Spirit' near the end , "a denial, a denial, a denial, a denial, ... (9x, with the 9th denial, spoken "bloody Naga". meaning it took him 9 headlights. Now with modern Sensibilities at the time he wrote this, Dylan, and also the fact that he's standing in the Cemetry, behind some trees, figures he can drive it home on 'One Headlight', if he's careful, and efficient, & hopeful. And I say, Bully for him: Because if it takes 9 headlights to get you home, and your pronouncing the 9th one 'bloody Naga', then my guess is you never left the house in the first place. and that's the pudding on that. David Bowie – Eight Line Poem Lyrics 16 years ago
it reminds me of "queen bitch" because i dont see any microcosm description as in "Oh you pretty things" and The brilliant micro-erudition of "Life on Mars" have you gone through Disney's micro - world next to Autopia? You get really small. and in "Queen Bitch" He's up on the 11 th floor. so the eight line poem is a haiku and it does instil peace and frolic and sense of frozen time. So i like it. and I Like Clara, because shes aware of the Tom Foolery of humans. .

David Bowie – Quicksand Lyrics 16 years ago
well I really like the genius that's shedding here under Quicksand lyrics. Thelimic is quite cool as factual thinking goes. but i want to take this song a bit further into the universal homosapien existence, not just the - abyss crossing moments - and in the midst of crooning "dont believe in yourself, dont deceive with belief, knowledge comes with "Debt Release" because "Death's release" would temporary and orgasmic at best. while "Debt Release" is truly freeing to our cosmic souls. Ask BOWIE.

David Bowie – Queen Bitch Lyrics 16 years ago
The queen bitch by bowie has a wonderful sttaccato rhythm guitar and bowie 'Stone' and his brother 'wax' are lamenting in a jovial way the same thing that Stipes does in losing my religion or the late Cobain does in Teen spirit their wasted time with the QUEEN of all Bitches, the device. In all three of these tunes, their speaking First Person. to their self. and when you sing it , u also sing im to yourself, so its selfish and communal at the same time . she, the device, is a major bitch. You can do better than that. Her hat is made of metal.

Blue Öyster Cult – Don't Fear The Reaper Lyrics 16 years ago
These six pages of commentary on Don't Feel the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult are worth there weight in Gold and thats the value of this groups song. Opening ones heart is at times a very tall wall. At these unsurpassable moments, when its all dark, this song says its ok breathe, surpass the fear you are of the same material as the wind, the sun and the rain, let time go, you belong..

David Bowie – Life on Mars? Lyrics 17 years ago
while bowies on stage like a swiss farm boy singing and yodeling to his cows at full volume to his hearts content with one eye, his other eye as reflected in "Life on Mars" is experiencing in metaphor the actual physical microcosm of ignition when ones eye is real up and close describing each sequence of events of a chain reaction very minute details like a Disney exhibit. This experiencing of two worlds at once the micro and the macro with all the ideology added around these all encompassing physical worlds. It must have fascinated Bowie to no end to perform this song while describing what he saw the night before

The Stranglers – Toiler On the Sea Lyrics 17 years ago
Being much younger, and in L.A. when I first was given to repeating the white side over and over. I finally realised he was a "toilet on the sea" over and over and over and over again. Thats what makes this song special, because It jams a "toilet on the sea" when angst is high and everybodys flailing, chicks included. I was a toiler: on the sea! A flock of Seagulls: on the sea! This whole side needs to be in the smithsonian eternalised for sweaty humans everywhere. from TANK to TOILER, its an Opera, pure man bliss.

Nirvana – You Know You're Right Lyrics 17 years ago
I often feel Cobaine wrote this song to himself as a promise that he would never abandon his choices his body, his more rational thoughts. his physical description of whats happening around him, A-Thinkin' to himself. overcoming his fears, his allusions his reactions with solid observation. a steady flow of truth to cleanse the heart and desires. In the anbrtro center of the "Nevermind" fold-out there two lines which are not in the 12 songs. These are "The Second coming came in last and out of the closet" and " At the end of the rainbow and your rope" Kurt loved "Myth" say some, but I believe he loved physical reality more.

I used to skip this song because it always suggested that someone was coming home, and once again the room had become a mess, but what if this concern becomes a an involuntary respnana? then its dance, to be shared universally in celebration and music and love. Cobain sees this human drool and laughs, at this relavant warning for us to embrace like novaselic' s glee that Nirvana is fat when kurt is loved.
