ok, first of all, just as a disclaimer, this is MY OWN interpretation of this song, so dont bash my OPINION. in a round-a-bout way, this feels kinda like what im going through right now. "i can see youre upset. i wish i coud forget you" the girl is majorly upset about something, and hes tired of it, and wishes he wasnt so close. "now im faking' hes faking his feeling towards her 'chorus' hes wondering where his angel is, bc the girl isnt the 'angel' he first knew 'you trade love for a little romance' love can get stale, but romance is more passionate. 'too late this is the last dance girl' shes too late to change, this is the end. 'you say you want it, you loved me then fought it' she told him she loves him, but fights being in love with him for whatever reason. 'youre breaking my heart and taking me down' he doesnt want this to happen, bc he loves her, but he cant stand being around her when shes constantly upset/down/depressed/etc. 'break it down and live it up' break down her problems and live how he thinks she should, not bound by whats making her upset. like i said, this is just MY interpretation, bc im going thru something like this, so PLEASE dont be all pissy about this, bc songs are meant to be interpreted by each indivdual person. |

maybe when he said "i break the vessel giving air to its red" he could be talking about that one person in the Bible, i forget his name but i think it started with a g, but anyway, his tiny army covered their torches with clay vessels, and then smashed the vessels to reveal their red fires, confusing the hecka bigger army and so his army won. idk how it relates to this song, but its an idea. |

this is what this song says to me: ~It's in this wake that I find myself~ when he looks back on how far his lifes gone downhill ~Losing the will to resume this hell~ he loses the will to live ~When every breath is a dying wish~ every breath is pointless ~It's harder to follow the point of this~ hard to see the point of life ~This broken place that I call my home~ his life is broken ~Is deep in the sorrow that I have sewn~ he feels that his sorrow is his own fault ~And i can't erase what is in my heart~ he cant erase his sorrow/ remorse ~I wanted to finish before it starts~ im not sure about this line. maybe: he wants to end his life so he doesnt want to have to go through the hardship of getting through whatevers going on to make him feel this way? ~My own solution insufficent again~ his attempt to get through this by himself failed ~No false illusion, this devouring threat~ his feelings arent minor, they are a real threat that is devouring his life ~I break the vessel, giving air to it's red~ idk about this line. maybe: he opens his heart (vessel) to God so He can help? ~and open my fate to the darkened sky~ he allows his fate to be in Gods hands ~I've been fading away~ he isnt the christian he used to be ~I've been waiting for a call to reach my veins~ hes been waiting for Gods call on his life ~Ready or not~ hes going to go for it ~No attention to waste~ idk. maybe: he is determined to focus on letting God fix his life and not focus on his failures?? ~Every sorrow of the soul will reap my name When I cease to exist~ idk about this either. maybe: if he cant let God help, then the sorrows dragging him down will win when he kills himself??? (maybe killing himself either physically or spiritually) ~Now I've come to a final sleep~ he has let God finally help him and his soul is in a more peaceful state (more being the key word) ~I pray that forgiveness is mine to keep~ he knows now that God forgives him, but he doesnt know if he will be able to keep that knowledge (i know that doesnt make a lot of sense, but it might make sense to people who have gone through this) ~I know it's hard to forgive this man~ he doesnt know how God can forgive him, bc of all the things hes done ~Driving the failure into your hands~ im not sure. maybe: he feels like hes let God down??? ~When I cease to exist~ when he dies spiritually or physically? |

| i think this song is telling Christians that they need to move and start witnessing to people or Satan will destroy them and/or what God has created. "i face my fears, it takes everything i am" i think means that even though its scary to witness b/c i always worry that ill just scare them further away from Jesus, that we need to confront our fears and just trust the Holy Spirit to use us and speak through us and that He'll take care of everything. | |
