Yup, definitely two people struggling with an unstable relationship. The man, though bored and possibly somewhat fearful of the woman is still addicted to her and perhaps he doesn't full he's ready to leave her... He mentions roses dying in his spit... a rose is a very popular symbol of romance no? And of course spitting on something is a way of showing it's insignificance in the world. I think it sounds like the man's blaming himself for killing the relationship by treating it like it was nothing and now that's all coming back to haunt him because he claims his relationship that he was possibly trying to forget is now becoming even more agitated, tedious and tense by his irresponsibility. That's just my guess though and when have I ever been right? :B |

| Gazette – Bathroom [English] Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Geesh, who ever knew Ruki could be so dark sometimes? I never expected translations like this when I first heard the song. Even though I interpreted the lyrics a while ago it still makes me wonder just where someone like Ruki gets all his inspiration for songs like this. He doesn't really seem like a very dark-minded person. :/ But yeah, a child walking in on his mother's death... possibly a suicide? I doubt a mother would just drop dead in a bathroom... and she's looking down like she's slumped over slightly with her back against the wall. That's the image it puts into my head at least. I know for sure the last line is about a funeral. Caskets are usually lined with some sort of velvet or other fabric right? And they can make them white right? I'm a bit confused though by this line: "I came close, the still warm cheek." ...If she's dead and in a casket then why is she still warm? o.o I think the last line though is kind of a way of metaphorically saying "When you died I died as well." Hm... loldunno. |

This song has had me baffled and confused for the longest time. Seeing the PV didn't clear anything up, rather it just left me scratching my head even more. XB This is one of those songs that one needs to just stare at for a really long time and really look into it to find it's meaning. In the mean time it's just really intense and enigmatic at the same time, certainly a flavorful combination. I suppose that's what keeps me so mesmerized by it... |

| Gazette – Cockroach [English] Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I always thought this was a song about a person who feels he's worthless and invisible in the world... kinda like a cockroach and that possibly made him a bit cynical as well? :B But yeah, he wants attention and it registers in his head that the best way to get it is to go hunt someone down and shoot them dead or something... Dunno, that's what my friend suggested to me when she read over the lyrics. |

| Gazette – Miseinen [English] Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I think this was one of Gazette's more... shallow and easy to understand songs. To me and my friend we both agreed that the song was kinda of sung (I guess) from an average angsty teen's mind. He thinks he's got a grip on his situation and goes all out on it then realizes "Oh noez, what is I doingz?" and begins to notice that his friends and family were behind him the whole time and all that sappy stuff. He finds that freedom and happiness don't come from breaking away from everyone but by staying with them so they can support him when he gets trapped in the pitfalls of life that he wouldn't be able to normally crawl out of himself. Woo, I think I actually interpreted a song without sounding like a complete moron. I think I just sounded like a regular moron. :P ...I think I would have liked the song more if I had just avoided the translations altogether though, it's all too cliche. XD |

| Dir En Grey – Dozing Green (English) Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Oh wow, didn't expect to see translations for this one up so quickly... Then again Dir en grey's become quite popular... and don't they have English translations on the booklets? :B ...Yeah just answered my own question there. I love the new single, Diru did an excellent job and it was definitely something worth waiting for. The song itself soars, it flows beautifully and I want to just sit around listening to it over and over again but I'm afriad I'll get sick of it... Haha. But yeah, what I'm basically trying to get at is that their new single sounds amazing and I absolutely love it. |

| Dir En Grey – The Deeper Vileness Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Really I can't say I'm all too fond of Diru's more "screamo" music. I find it head-pounding and irritating. Their acoustic songs that actually have a melody are much better. :3 I'm actually having a really hard time hearing these words while reading along with the song after watching this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Il5HgsDSxH8 Yeah... I have to admit, the parody subtitles are actually easier to hear in this song than the actual thing. Kyo needs to practice his English pronunciations. XD |

| Dir En Grey – Embryo (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Indeed, I found this a very sad song as well once I finally got around to reading the lyrics. Though, sure it's full of emotion and everything but personally I find it a bit awkward that Kyo would sing this song from the perspective of a young girl being raped. Then again, Kyo's also one to sing from the point of view of an unborn baby being aborted and whatnot so I suppose it's just part of his style. Not many artists step out and do that and I guess that's what I like about the guy. |

| Dir En Grey – Grief (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Ooookay, so here he sounds like he's saying "Forgive" then I listened closer and it sounded like "Fuck you" and now it says it's "Fuck off"... geesh, I'm utterly confused. @__@ Kyo needs to work on his English. |

| Gazette – Filth in the Beauty Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Incest? Are you serious? O__o *gulp* Yeah well, even if that is the case... yeah, the whole song in general is epic. Ruki is always so confuzing with his grammar and use of English words. I find it ironic that he stated his best subject in school was English. |

| Dir En Grey – The Pledge Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I'm rather charmed by this song. It's lovely. I's time's like this I wish I could interpret lyrics better. I'm a bit puzzled about what Kyo's talking about here. Then again, I don't mind. Kyo's way of lacing emotion into his singing is amazing and entertaining enough in itself. Who needs to understand what such a voice is saying when it' so beautfiul? |

| Dir En Grey – Namamekashiki Ansoku, Tamerai Ni Hohoemi (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |

| Gazette – Silly God Disco Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Geesh, no comments? D< The lyrics to this song made no sense to me whatsoever but I suppose it's just the clarity of the music, the crisp quality of the PV and just the overall catchy tune made me happy. This one's one of my favorites. I can't help but dance everytime I listen to it. X3 |

| Dir En Grey – Mazohyst Of Decadence (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |

This song made me cry the first time I heard it... Just wow. I knew Dir en Grey was deep but this is just... *lacking better words* WOW. It's such a tragic song even when you don't understand the lyrics. The quivering tone in Kyo's voice is enough to leave me in tears. All it takes is emotion, the translation simply magnifies the true horror this song depicts. I don't think I've ever taken a song more seriously than this one... |

| Dir En Grey – Conceived Sorrow Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Daw... no English for this one either? D: Ah oh well, even though I can't understand the words the song is goregeous. It's definately one of their better songs. Then again, I always prefer Diru's more subtle songs. Apparently screaming and constant rawrs just don't suit my taste. :/ But yeah, this is the first song I heard on their new album I think. Tis' a spiffy song. :3 |

| Dir En Grey – Dead Tree (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
YEY English! I wish I could speak Japanese so I wouldn't have to scrounge around for these things... Personally I think the song does have a sort of despairing theme to it. Heck, the tree used to be beautiful, then it died and it can't be healed... I wonder what the tree symbolizes... like miyabi said, it could be love but for some reason I have the feeling it's something else. I dunno, I'm terrible with lyric interpretation. :B |

I demand English translations, NOW. Good God, I love this song. The first time I heard it I instantly became addicted. The way Kyo pours all that emotion into his voice just tugs at my heartstrings. o__o |
