| The Whitlams – Royal In The Afternoon Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is so Australian. Not giving a shit, but being excited at the same time. | |
| Natalie Imbruglia – Shiver Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Has anyone heard the Maximo Park cover of this song? Theres a live version for download and its awesome. It has all of the honesty of the original, but hearing a guy sing it puts a completely different twist on it. | |
| Maxïmo Park – Our Velocity Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Its all about getting wrapped up in loneliness and muddling through various internal conflicts. Realising that your great expectations were only expectations and you only really become aware of them once their glass shells have shattered. True about the guitars and keyboard soaring through this one. They're like best friends and its sounds really good. |

| Hot Chip – And I Was A Boy From School Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I love that Hot Chip just say whatever they like. That kind of un-selfconscious sincerity sets people free. Boy from School is just a gentle lovely song about someone reflecting on how complex it seemed, but infact turned out not to be. I like what bloc_party15 said. Hot Chip are very kool. |

| Guillemots – madeup love song #43 Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Just slightly less subtle than Trains to Brazil, but just as meaningful. I love this song. I don't know how it could be better. It is perfect. |

| Josh Pyke – Lines on Palms Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I always notice how if you have the last name Pyke, you invariably end up being called 'Pykey'. I'm not being critical or anything, I just notice it all the time. |

| Klaxons – Magick Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| The videos ace too. | |
| Klaxons – Golden Skans Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
There aren't that many songs that make me want to thrash my arms about and think at the same time. This song does. I love it. |

| R.E.M. – Electrolite Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Spot on swagbag and Deena, if you do a little digging and put it together with the lyrics, its saying goodbye to one hell of a century, but still acknowledging the significance and frivolity of that period of time "20th century go to sleep" As for alien abduction, are you kidding me. That has to be the most obscure meaning derived from that song. |

| The Sleepy Jackson – Devil Was In My Yard Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Lotus, you've got your finger on the pulse my friend. Its about saying "Look I was a tool, and I did all this dumb stuff, but I'm alright now... for the most part" but its cheeky enough to try and blame everyone else 'the devil made me do it'. I love it. Mostly because the devil makes me do all kinds of crap and this just soundtracks too well. |
