| Fall Out Boy – This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race (Remix) Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I really disliked this at first, but it's grown on me very much so. kanye adds humor, but not too much that it demeans the statement they're trying to make in their diversity and, well, everything that ilove2eatnsleep said. he/she put it all well. ;D |

| brilliant; the video is very different than i expected, but it's still an excellent portrayal. | |

| I took it a little more symbollically; I see the 'move away' part as giving up, and 'miles between us' as growing apart. | |
| of Montreal – I Was Watching Your Eyes Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I'm head over heels in love with this song. I'm pretty sure it's "they just might say something real." But, anway. I want to write something beautiful Something so beautiful that I just can't sing it Without getting that incredible feeling The one that just overwhelms my senses Because it's the only thing I have It's the only thing that makes my life worthwhile - This part reminds me of a line from a show. She wanted her art to mean something. To make a difference. Something that could almost physically touch your soul. She didn't want to show it to the world until she knew it could change it. And that's what all real artists really want. It's generally the reason true artists do what they do. I know there aren't too many people Who allow themselves to say what they feel So I was watching your eyes In case they just might say something (real) - The beginning is pretty self-explanatory; people who do feel or have the ability to create such powerful art, particularly with words, don't. Whether it's fear or neglect. With these words, he's hoping to unleash more words. For himself, and for whoever's eyes he's watching. I want to think someone's beautiful That they're so beautiful it's a thrill to be near them Fill my stomach with butterflies, have me floating on air Bring something out of me I didn't know was there But it's such a torturous thing That I am not excited by anyone - I agree with what Pandora said. He's longing for anything other than numbness. He seems more focused on finding true love; someone his heart would flutter for even when he just hears their name. I know there aren't too many people Who allow themselves to say what they feel So I was watching your eyes In case they just might say something (real) - Repeat. I also think that eyes represent souls. Because obviously you can't watch someone's soul, but a lot of people feel that you can just look into someone's eyes and know everything you need to about them. Anyway, though, I guess I pointed out some obvious stuff, but this song is incredible, and needed another comment. :3 |

| Pink – My Vietnam Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This song seems to be aimed mostly at her mother, even though she first mentions her father. In a sense, it seems she's filling in for him; she knows the freedoms taken advantage of, she's at war, she's fighting with her mother, etc. All in all, good song. I really like the symbolic war and bombs. |

| Panic! at the Disco – Slow Motion (Third Eye Blind cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Incredible cover. It's simply urban life, to an extreme. The original version had 'in the ghetto' in the lyrics, which makes it a bit more obvious. Still though. It is beautiful composed; the original, and this version. It truly shows off Brendon's vocal abilities as well as his pianist skills. |

This song is definitely about Jeanae. I agree with Skettio, except that what she recognized the city as of prostitutes I see more of as simply desire and taking risks. |

| Avril Lavigne – Girlfriend (Lil' Mama Remix) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Haha, I love this version. It just makes me smile. The regular version makes me laugh and gets stuck in my head, and this one more so. As much as I'd normally hate to admit it, I'm okay with Avril's change. It's all in good fun. :] |

| Avril Lavigne – Girlfriend Lyrics | 18 years ago |

She didn't write this song to mean anything to her. In an interview, I can't remember exactly what it was she said, but it was like, 'I'm married now, I don't need to impress anyone. Whatever.' The song is pretty much a joke. So people need to learn to chill. I hate the fact that this song gets stuck in your head so easily. Gr. But I find it to be a stupid and cute/funny song. And the meaning is pretty obvious.. |

| Keane – We Might As Well Be Strangers Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Like most posts said, things were once of a great friendship, connection or relationship of some sort. But now they've just drifted apart. I don't think it had much to do with not seeing someone for a while, because of the might as well be living in a different town part. I think it fits along well with Everybody's Changing. I kind of see this as someone has done something hurtful and not really meant it, because of the 'I don't understand your heart' part. Like he doesn't understand why she may have felt or said or done something that she did. And he wants it to be the way it used to be, but it's not going to happen. 'It's just a place I'm looking for.' I wish we could delete comments because I'm probably going to be annoyed by the fact that I wrote this later. |

| Green Day – Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Like said before, this can be taken by people in so many ways. I think that it's more of a good-bye/farewell kind of song. Depending on how you percieve certain things, this can be an I'll miss you, but we have to move on kind of thing, or it can be considered a sort of sarcastic shove in the face. Just wanted to throw that in, because I know that most people probably wouldn't. And the wrong title is driving me crazy... |

| The Goo Goo Dolls – Iris Lyrics | 18 years ago |

it can touch on so many different levels. it can relate to people you may have formerly known, someone you're in love with, friends, family... most people who feel alone believe that they're alone and this song kind of helps ease that. I think so, anyway. ever since I first listened to it when I was about nine, I've thought that it was a beautiful song. I don't care that this song has 400+ comments, because even though it'll most likely be disregarded, I still felt like stating this. it fits a situation I've gone through literally for me to a point. I had an incredibly close friend that I felt I was in love with but I never really shared it. I kept to myself and when it let out, "who I was" was revealed, if that makes sense. I felt like this person was my entire being. I know I'm a kid and I obviously don't know what that actually feels like, but at the moment I sure as hell thought I did. but in that time, I wanted this person to know the way I felt, but I was scared because as they were also my best friend, it kind of made them my world. so it's like... I didn't want to world to see me but I did... I don't know. it's kind of confusing. makes more sense in my head, lol. oh, and the bleeding part fits because of self-harm and whatnot... it's a really long story and really not fit for a song comment so I'm going to shut up now. yeah. |

when I'm going to sleep I put my music on shuffle and this comes on, but since I'm half asleep I never knew what it was until I looked it up earlier to check. I really love this song... |

| The Get Up Kids – I'll Catch You Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
The first time i listen to this song was as I was falling asleep, and now its on my sleeping playlist. It always comforts me. For me, it isn't a 'love song.' It just fits my best friend and I incredibly well. This, and Feeling a Moment by Feeder perfectly describe the way our relationship works. And I'd like to hear the acoustic version as well... I'm gonna see if I can find it. C: |

| This song just hypes me up so much! | |
| Feeder – Find The Colour Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I love this. It's pretty self-explanatory, I think, but I'll write something about it anyway. It's pretty much just about finding the upside in everything. When it rains, don't think about what sucks about that. Just remember that the sun will come out tomorrow. Finding the color in the gray. It's a great song. Group, too. |

| Fall Out Boy – Golden Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This is by far my favorite song off the new album. The lyrics are some of Pete's best (in my opinion), the music is incredible and it truly shows off Patrick's voice. This song is one of favorites. Not just by FOB, but overall. I think it's beautifully written and composed. |

| Fall Out Boy – Hand of God Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It'd be good for a b-side of some sort. | |
| Feeder – Feeling a Moment Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is a perfect fit to the relationship between my best friend and I. It's really complicated, but this is truely our song. | |
| Lifetime – What She Said Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I'm surprised no one has commented this. I was actually turned to this band from the podcast of a character on a show I watch, and I like their stuff a lot. This is definitely one of my favorites. Even though it's so short, lyrically and musically, it still probably touches on just about everyone at some point. | |
