i think the song is to himself about himself. the song is a schizophrenic conversation. it's about himself and his image... rock on aaron! the song is beautiful. i think we all feel that way. very well written. |

this song is beautiful. i feel that way so much it's pathetic. staind, to me, is therapy. i think he's just saying that sometimes, he doesn't quite know how to handle things, but it doesn't mean that he doesn't care. he does... alot... enough to right a song about it. |

this song is so awesome live... anyway. i think it's about how you should treat others the way you want to be treated. i know it sounds corny, but it's true. when people judge you or beat you or look down on you, remember how that feels before you make assumptions about others. |

this song is probably one of his split personality songs... he's the king of the jungle but the little puppy too. he does make a drug reference, but it's probably something to do with how this helps him... it's his choice what side of him he shows you, and it's his choice when to show it. the "wild dog" line is probably saying that he's a blend of both personalities. he can be gentle and very harsh too. (daddy's hands weren't always gentle...) but he's definately not giving up... especially before he gets started. (die born... get it?) |

suprisingly enough... this was the song that made me fall in love with dotn. it gives a sort of unsettling feeling. i always thought of it as a way of saying that he was chasing something better and trying to change things... you know kind of personal and such. however, i had never heard the "missing sibling" thing. that sounds like a good reason to write this song... and the title is spelled wrong. and uh... yeah clarinets rock so hard! |

i've always said, "this is how i feel about women." and the lyric is "people say it's all a fucking dream." i think it's about being true to your own self, beliefs, what have you, in spite of what others tell you. however it could simply be about drugs or religion or both. anywho... great song. open for interpretation. |

| Staind – Sober (Tool cover) Lyrics

you guys are all wrong. yes, aaron says "jesus was a fucking whistler." yes, it's different than the tool version. but what you don't know is that "whistler" is a slang word for homosexual. aaron sang it wrong on purpose. and as for mother mary, he calls her a "fucking whisper." and i think that might mean that he thinks she didn't matter much. he also says "son comes up" mocking the whole raised frome the dead thing. given the religious stance of both maynard and aaron, i would say that the staind and the tool versions pretty well portray the same emotion... (hasn't maynard called jesus gay before?) the church is the shadow, and they point the finger at everyone else... god is unhappy with them... however, in this song maynard didn't openly attack christ... aaron did. |
