| Of Monsters And Men – Little Talks Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
I get the feeling like maybe they are both still around, But she has dementia or Alzheimers and isn't herself. he misses what they had in the past but is still there for her. Beautifully sad either way though. |

| Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker – Hollowpoint Sniper Hyperbole Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Moose meat, Neighboured a medley of beans I hope the real words are more like Lose me Neighbourhed a medley of being Didn't like the song when I first heard it. Now I think it is awesome. |

| Gnarls Barkley – Blind Mary Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Thank you Fuchi900. you made my day. When I first heard it I loved it. Then when I thought it might be about pot I was disappointed. This is too nice of a song to be wasted on such a mundane topic as marijuana. Song about pot == tedious Song about two people who love each other for what they are inside instead of the superficial == brilliant |

| The Bravery – Fistful of Sand Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I love the image of "like a fist full of sand" no matter how tight you hold on to the relationship it still slips through your fingers a grain at a time. I think this guy dated my ex-girlfriend. This was exactly how I felt. She never lied, she was always true to me, but I could see it in her eyes that she was done. "Frustration burns in me, it's more than I can bear" lol. perfect song |

| Big Wreck – Blown Wide Open Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
The whole album is about a break up with a girl. Listen to "Under the Lighthouse" So I think the meaning of the some is stuff that happens AFTER the breakup. The album and the song is about regrets about ending the relationship and longing for the woman he swept away. The feelings that he keeps thinking he set aside and put away keep coming back to the surface and destroying him till he can sweep them away again. |

| Gorillaz – Clint Eastwood Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Wow... bottom of the barrel in the comments division. Well. I think this song is about music in general and that they are about to create music. Take all the references that people say are about drugs and replace with music. I think it makes much more sense. Sunshine in a bag? ever hear the term "we got this (insert event) in the bag? And when Russel's ghost come out... The ghost IS the rhythm I am going to get to deep. here. to philosophical. But with music the song doesn't have to be full of hidden meaning. It is exactly what it is saying. there... 2 cents has been deposited. please come again. |

| Eddie Vedder – Hard Sun (Indio cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
To me this song is about a guy who leads a hard life of bad choices. But he has someone who always accepts him and helps him through it. One time he does something unknowingly to hurt her, and before he can fix it, the damage is done and there is nothing he can do. |

| Muse – Thoughts of a Dying Atheist Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Well lkmeister, you beat me to it. I am an Atheist and I agree with what you just said. And I think you said it a little more elloquently than I could have. Death is an inspiration for life. And it is much to short to do all the things I dream of doing. |

| Arcade Fire – (Antichrist Television Blues) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Side note... This song sounds very similar to a song by The Strokes. Listen to Barely Legal from the "Is This It" album | |
| (+44) – No It Isn't Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I like how this song can be applied to any bad breakup. It is about Tom, but I can see a guy singing this about an ex girlfriend. Great Lyrics. |

| (+44) – Little Death Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I can imagine a father sitting with his daughter as she crys in bed. He explains death because of an experiance she has just had. But whatever the song means it is very powerfull. |

| Gob – Desktop Breaking Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I always thought that is said "His pupil will dilate to her desires" But now I am not so sure... Would make more sense to me. But I am positive that it is "shiny and clean" not shiny and green. |

lol, I tried to highligh the words... instead the got deleted here again I’m allergic to the light and the darkness brings me fright through the peephole i saw the suicidal neighbors |
|
| Gob – Sleepyhead Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
The third verse has a couple errors... I’m allergic to the light and the darkness brings me through the i saw the suicidal neighbors Subtle difference, but makes a big change of meaning. Great song. Amazing visuals about a dream. Really cool to try and follow the images in your mind. |

| Ben Folds – Losing Lisa Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Wow... how can you see suicide here? This song is about a breakup. The singer said or did something that he didn't think was important or meaningfull. Something that was said or done commonly in the past. And, this time, she took offense to that thing. And as she leaves him, he says "Before you go You oughta know That I didn't mean to hurt you, I just wanted you to know" He then goes on to reminisce about the past. Black tears are angry tears. Not the sad ones you would expect from a person who still feels love for you. "She’s sitting here beside me, then she is gone" I hear "AND she is gone"... but either way it is a powerfull line that shows how things can change with sensitive and emotional person. Lastly, I would like to say that when Ben Folds writes songs about sucide and death, he is pretty specific. he doesn't hide it in the lyrics. Like carrying cathy for instance. |

| Delerium – Silence Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think it is amazing how the Tiesto Remix can give these lyrics such a different meaning. The Original Delerium song sounds like depression and a longing for release from the frustration of life. While in the Tiesto version it gives the feeling of an emotional release. Both very different and very good | |
| Hot Chip – (Just Like We) Breakdown Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This seems to be a sad song. About a couple going through times and the possiblity of a divorce. The first two verses are the endless cycle of fights (boxing analogy - on the ropes) And they are not sure why they continue on with it. The fact that the verse is repeated adds to the meaning. "Turn on the lights and open the door." Sounds like someone is leaving. I think it is "Block" because it goes with the rest of the song. And even though there is a ring on your finger, your heart is still closed. An end is a start. Lots of feeling! And the DFA remix is awesome. |
