Kate is playing Peter in the song. This is why she is dressed as she is and her hair is short. She is not being a daughter; that wouldn't make sense. |

| I can't stand this song. | |

This song is beautiful. I'm taking high school Latin right now, so it's definitely "The girl whom I love is beautiful." It's in the present tense, not past, as someone before me said. This is so perfect, because I am madly in love with a boy in my Latin class, but who is so socially unacceptable to my group, I could never date. Besides, I seem to be a nuisance to him. But Christ, this song is my life. |

I agree with Lici, and completely understand the situation. She loves him, but no one else *gets* him. She's still a bit scared of him, and herself. |

This is almost childlike in it's simplicity. It's beautiful. |

I feel the opposite end of this song. He is the creep. But I'm smitten. |

| This song is so beautiful. | |
| Bright Eyes – Ship in a Bottle Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I think this song is about wanting someone you'll never be with. You want to mean something to them, but you know that you're something in the background, like the weather. And the person they're with ("apple of your eye") is your mortal enemy. |
