So the CD is out today, of course bought it first thing i did today, and was amazed to see that the design of the disc went with this song. and the sky is filled with light can you see it? all the black is really white if you believe it When u put the CD in it is black, after you run it through and it heats up from the spinning the disc turns white with binary coding and stuff on it. Showing that what shows as one thing chances are is the complete oppisite |

I like the fact that throughout the songs he uses "Twilight" in refrence to the end of the world. Its quite the perfect word for the situation in the sense that i could be taken in a number of ways. Twilight is defined as Twilight noun 1. the soft, diffused light from the sky when the sun is below the horizon, either from daybreak to sunrise or, more commonly, from sunset to nightfall. 2. the period in the morning or, more commonly, in the evening during which this light prevails. 3. a terminal period, esp. after full development, success, etc.: the twilight of his life. 4. a state of uncertainty, vagueness, or gloom. –adjective 5. of, pertaining to, or resembling twilight; dim; obscure: in the twilight hours. 6. appearing or flying at twilight; crepuscular. Now running with #3 from the definition and the lines "In the hour of our twilight... And soon it will be all said and done, and we'll all be back together, as one... And we will... continue... at all." It could be showing that it is not actually the end of the world but if we were to correct our mistakes and make things work we could prevent what we are to become. "back together, as one" Note that he also uses "And we will... continue... at all." which seemingly the words dont sound right. You would usually here something of the sort as we wont continue at all. So that made me think that instead of an end hes trying to get across the point that it doesnt have to be an end and go in that direction okay the next stanza Shame on us, doomed from the start May God have mercy on our dirty little hearts Shame on us for all we have done And all we are worth is just zeroes and ones In love with these lines i must first say. What i got out of them is the initial thought that we all have taken a stance as though we dont matter and that we are doomed from the start so what does it matter. "And all we are worth is just zeroes and ones " rounding out that stanza a refrence to the smallest most insignificant part of computer programing. Though every single 1 and 0 is integral in the program and every single 1 and 0 makes a difference in the end. |

Okay when u first read it weve obviously got the refrences to the bomb. Not a bomb of the past as ive seen a few comments suggest but a bomb of the future that we are lurking ever closer to. As you listen to the song a few times the tone of his voice, the noises, the music, the lyrics i think you can really get the feel of its apocalyptic sense. As though what we are doing now and what we are leading to is inevitable if we stay the path we follow now. The first and third stanzas show the true consequences and what will happen, a destruction of everything, a hell on earth. and the sky is filled with light can you see it? all the black is really white if you believe it as your time is running out let me take away your doubt you can find a better a place in this twilight To me that shows a beliefe so strong in something not even certain that one will block out the hell their beliefe is creating around them. Thus turning Black (the corrupt evil of the wrold) to white (a pure holy heavenly sense) The last stanza and the sky is filled with light can you see it? all the black is really white if you believe it and the longing that you feel you know none of this real you can find a better a place in this twilight Follows the same basic structure until the line "you know none of this real" which in my eyes works out to a realization that all of this faith and belief people have based all of their hatred and destruction upon has created the hell the tried to avoid by comitting such acts. |

first off i may be wrong but isnt it ya know everything gets written down in the third line, and its shiney satellites at the end of the first section. okay now two different perspectives i came across when listening to this a few times over. At first listen without putting much deep thought into it it sounds pretty much as though hes taunting. As though his words are what could bring down all the lies and filth humanity has become and that this song and this album could be the end of what is wrong. Going from that the lines turn it up, listen to the shit they pump into your head filling it with apathy hold your breath, wait until you know the time is right on time the end is near Seem to me to almost be telling people to accept the lies and hold their breaths (in the sense of how one would say "dont hold your breath" towards something you would not expect to happen) as though the lies will never stop coming "the end is near" because if u help your breath until the lies would stop u would be holding it until your death. Another thought i kind of ran with while listening to this was the chorus in the sense of the track Survivalism and how it was refering to the raping of mother nature, the raping of our lands, and the raping of our planet. i hope they cannot see the limitless potential living inside of me to murder everything I hope they cannot see I am the great destroyer Could be taken from the perspective of every man woman or child in a way that no one person realizes the potential they have to corrupt and destroy our surroundings. Be it through pollution, war, urbanization, ect. So i guess looking at it in that way what im trying to say is in reality the way we live is our "limitless potential" to "murder everything" WEARE THE GREAT DESTROYERS |

What i get from this is that it could be showing a representation of western civilization and its tendancy to force its way into other cultures to the point where they become dependant on western ways almost like its people are dependant on the air they breathe.
