i really love the part where they say "I hate hate the way you look at me where's the pills for that thing that you call "sweepin' me off my feet" it's girls like you that keep open graves for boys like me that keep themselves locked up for days." I get the impression that this song is about a breakup that basically left him "dead to the world", because he's locked up in his room thinking about what could have/should have been. |

"And the things to make you go away" ---> "anything to make you go away" "what used to be so easy" ---> "it used to be so easy" "All the time and time again" ---> "all over, time and time again" Great song, great power, great energy. |

A few corrections... Like I said Leave your baggage at the back door I'm leaving you The way I think it should be We're always Pulling into spaces that we can't back out of Starting fights We can't talk our way out of them How does it feel to be on the receiving end of this one? I'm half way there and it's all on me This is what I get for wanting more This is the way it has to be Dancing on all these changes So I'll walk around with this rope in my hands So I'll tie it around and around I'll tie me down I'll fantasize of being manic And leaving us behind In your eyes You were the one that tried Acceptance is what holds us dear And you my dear are the one I fear tonight We'll try just one more time This is the moment that we all live for Are you ready? Are you ready? I'm half way there and it's all on me, This is what I get for wanting more, for wanting more. Is this the way its got to be, Dancing on all these changes So I walk around with this rope in my hand, rope in my hand So I'll tie it around, and around, and around, I'll tie me down You can't see past my waving hands, Just running away again You can't see past my waving hands... You think so loud it hurts my ears I want to know how to get through this Without choking I can't feel you You're too far from me I'm half way there and it's all on me . Amazing song. That's all I can say. |

This song makes me want to get up and dance like a madman. I especially love the part when they say, "Never gonna stop, give it up. Such a dirty mind. I always get it up for the touch of the younger kind." Its effing redonkulous in the best way possible. LOVE this cover. |

I agree with mcm527 and xx-georgina-xx. When I first heard this song, I thought it was about a man who developped cancer after they first met, hence the "your hair was long when we first met". "Samson went back to bed Not much hair left on his head He ate a slice of wonder bread and went right back to bed And history books forgot about us and the bible didnt mention us The bible didnt mention us, not even once." This tells me that at some point get was diagnosed with cancer, lost his hair because of treatment, etc etc., yet he still managed to enjoy the simple things in life (the line "he ate a slice of wonderbread" makes me think that) . Perhaps the verse about how he came to her bed and told her that she was beautiful and her hair was red means he was glad he could go through the pain of dealing with cancer instead of her. The bit about how the history books and bible didn't mention them could mean that she believes that there are so many tragic stories like hers that never get put out there, that never get heard. But if you ask me, this song did JUST that. :] Beautiful song. Moved me to tears. |
