I think this song is great, but i prefer the better one, Iron Maiden's vesion is so much better, just listen to the solo in the first song, i dont think Filth cought the solo. and Maiden's solo is WAY longer, which is wicked =P but yes, the lyrics do relate to the kinda songs Filth makes, anyways, this is song is about someoe doing a crime and being marched out to the courtyard and being hanged and or head chopped off. |

this song is by far the most overrated zeppelin song ever, i like it and all, but there is WAY more zeppelin songs out there besides this song, i think people should open there eyes and listen to all of zeppelin's songs and come to a conclusion that there are way more other great songs out there then this song. that is just my opinion, dont judge me on anything, its called freedom of speech. |

to me, this is by far my favourite song by zeppelin, by far. cant you feel the emotion in Plants voice when he sings this ballad? well, basicly this song is when two people are deeply in love and they swore they would never leave eachother, but then the girl leaves and the guy is very sad/depressed: "And if you promised you'd love so completely, and you swore you will always be true, you swore you would never leave me baby, whatever hppened to you". and that line could possibly mean tha the girl cheated on him with another guy. by the end of the song, the guy calls the girl to meet him on a street corner, but she never shows up, and he watches the people walking down he street, trying too see the girl, so he starts to think she is on the wrong street corner: "Now I will stand in the rain on the corner, i'll watch the people go shuffling downtown, another ten minutes no longer, then im turning around." now he goes home and realizes that she doesnt love him, his days become longer and his heart sinks to the ground, and everyday is cloudy to him, blocking of the his love: "The clock on the wall is moving slower, my heart it sinks to the ground, and the storm that i thought would blow over, clouds the light of the love that i found." now his body is starting to quiver because hes been alone for awhile, and his palms are getting wet from the cold he cought outside, and now he's telling him self its a terrible mess, he has no reason to doubt her: "Now my body is starting to quiver, and the palms of my hands are getting wet, i've got no reason to doubt you baby, its all a terrible mess." now he misses her soo deeply he goes outside in the rain and looks all overtown for her, but never finds her, and he keeps on running till he's breathe less, and he wont stop running till he drops, and he waits on the block till she returns to him again aand im guessing the last line is when he finds love again in the song and im guessing he finds his love in "Hot Dog": "I'll run in the rain till im breathless, when im breahless i'll run till i drop, the thoughts of a fools kinda careless, im just a fool waiting on the wrong block, oh yeah, light of the love that i found." |

well, after reading the lyrics and listening to the song, i've come up with the meaning: soo basicly, i think this whole album is about love and break ups "All My Love" is about how much one person loves the other, and or for Plants son, but either way, its about love. "Fool in the Rain" is about a break up and how the girl said she will never leave the guy. well, i have a feeling, or it could just be me that "All My love" and "Im Gonna Crawl" are basicly songs that countine on to each other, soo when "All My Love" fades out, "Im Gonna Crawl" starts and the lyrics are pretty straight forward, he is probably telling her and or his friends how much he loves his girlfriend and that it doesnt matter how far is girl is from him, he will crawl to her. |
