not to be argumentative the whole christians being anti-homosexual argument certainly pertains but I think this song was just about being judgemental as a kid in those days the whole homosexual thing was considered alot weirder than it is today and he was just a kid making judgements "My liberty, like Christ's death meant nothing to me" then when he was older, and had a better understanding and desire to live in a more christlike way he realized the error of his ways. |

they are right there isn't any breakdowns in the new cd rarely even a 2step it's not good and god Anthony is amazing I find that some of the songs that show the most passion repeat alot for example: Fear Befroe The March of Flames- On the Bright Side She Could Choke they don't even play that song any more bc it's too sentimental for them I think that's cool and emo is dead kids. It's become pop... And high vocals don't mean that a band is emo it means the vocalist sings high |

this song is the one that really strikes home on the whole CD. As far as musical quality Protest is as good as they come. I love the context of the word whore in this song not saying so much a literal whore but a woman who is subject to all the opressions of society. like when it says "So when you bled on the bed as you fed those expectations as a whore and not a human" That really says something I see the character of Kezia as the woman who was killed as a heretic. I don't think she was a whore herself, just that she was preaching to women about equality. |
