Blink-182 – Kaleidoscope Lyrics 14 years ago
Is it not

'Stop blocking the driveway with your car
Put the butterfly in the bell jar'...?

My jusitification for this lyric would be (considering the song hints at the pressure felt by the gents to get 'Neighborhoods' out on the shelf) that creativity and beauty should take a natural course instead of being concentrated and forced. Sure, you could observe a butterfly were it placed in a bell jar, but it's not how it would be witnessed naturally. 'Stop blocking the driveway with your car' implies that they're not being given any respite or freedom until they've finished the fresh material.

'If you pressure us, the end product will have been ruined by that pressure' (^^,)

Ok, that's enough
Of her dry, tedious chat;
I need to curb on the bullshit
And get her back to my flat ;)

Brand New – Jesus Christ Lyrics 19 years ago
I think it is perhaps, "We all got wood and nails, you're (or "we're") done turnin' out hate in factories." The hate would be war/evil/a combination and the "wood and nails" would be used to board up the factory, therefore putting an end to production (as opposed to it being a crucifix reference).
"We" being people trying to represent the human race as having resolved its problems, as a last-ditch attempt at getting into heaven by hurriedly respecting that Jesus apparently died for us, by 'downing the tools of evil', so to speak. He is bargaining/pleading with the almighty.
The offcial lyric (as can be seen on both the other songmeanings version and the offcial website) states, "And we turn out hate in factories" - Jesse does not sing this on the album, nor did he sing it live at Birmingham. If you want the video (front row) add me: feelingthis@h...co.uk
Just hear what you want and have the song say what is most fitting for you.
