I agree with the Ender theories, I love the series like f-ing crazy and love any GAD song with referances to it. "I want to see a little baby boy" That is so Ender in "Ender's Game". He wants to just be a normal little kind again, but hes being pushed and forced to be humanities savior. |

I forgot to mention in the afor comment that the biggest reminder of The Great Gatsby in this song is the line: "Alone above a raging sea That stole the only girl I loved And drowned her deep inside of me" I always thought as Tom, symbolizing the bay in between Gatsby and Daisy so, in that sense Tom was the ocean that "stole the only girl I ever loved" Also I envisioned Gatsby standing on a ledge stretching desperatlly, vainly towards Daisy, the green light, his aspirations. Sp the line "Spinning on that dizzy" and "why are so far she said". I know that GAD covered this song, but I just wanted to point out some similarities. And sorry to those who never read the book, and have no clue what Im talking about. |

This song, even though its not written by GAD, reminds me of Gatsby's obsession and love for Daisy in the Great Gatsby(reading the book turned me on to GAD, god I love that book). " |

Im new at this, but this song reminds me of The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. "Im a volcanoe Ill hurt you all" The protagonist of the seires, known as the Dragon(which is alos mentioned in the song), is prophisied to save the world yet break it, and his greatest fear is hurting the people he loves. "My pride, ripped a hole in the world that set loose...a shadow" The evil in the series is referred to as the shadow, and Shaitan, the evil entity in the series is burning a hole in his prison to escape. The protganist is also very prideful. "I sail, to the jaws of the dragon" Like a sadi above, the protangonist of the series is the Dragon Reborn or the Dragon. |
