hmm. I think this song is about ben gibbard buying a new house to maybe get away from the life he lead throughout the rest of the album, until the girl he was chasing comes to live with him, probably because she's left her husband and didnt know where else to turn. The album ends without them together but with the possiblity of it hapening in the future |

I never really focused on the lyrics, but just the creepy tune. Everyone death cab fan i know says that this song annoys them, but i doesnt anoy me, it's one of my most played on 'you can play...' The weirdness of it definately keeps me interested |
