| Stone Temple Pilots – Creep Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i think there are two different recordings of this song if im not mistaken. one where scoot accentuates the "then she tells me i'm a creep" part. maybe this is leading to some of this nirvana confusion.... | |

some of you people are so dumb it hurts! this is STONE TEMPLE PILOTS..... NOT NIRVANA............. Nirvana has a song called "negative creep". its nothing like the stone temple pilots "creep". mbrooksay- just because you downloaded a file that was named nirvana - half the man i used to be, dosnt mean that is the correct song title. Hell you could rename "STP - Creep" to "brittney spears - oops i did it again" and that dosnt mean the music will change...... ---------------------------------------------------------- and i agree with the others about drug use. scott seems to be searching for the words here. forcing them even. perhaps its intentional as someone suggested. |

| Bush – Machinehead Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
gavin's all coked up and drunk as a skunk driving. "Tied to a wheel fingers got to feel Bleeding through a tourniquet smile" - a tourniquet is something used to squeeze shut a wound. perhaps he means he has a tight chin from doing too much coccaine? often users of coccaine feel as they are invincible and can do anything. machine head? better than the rest? "I walk from my machine" - gavin gets in a bad car wreck because he is impared and driving at a crazy rate (breathe in breathe out). "Deaf dumb and thirty Starting to deserve this" - disorented after the accident? sometimes you get drymouth from drinking too much and getting dehydrated? realized the mistakes and why he deserves them? "Leaning on my conscience wall" - feeling remorse for his actions? Blood is like wine" -- so drunk his blood alcohol level could be consumed as wine? "Unconscious all the time" -- constantly high/drunk. also a play on words with 'conscience' a few lines before... "If I had it all again I'd change it all" - if i could not decide to drive/do drugs, and realizes how lucky he is to have survived the wreck... then there is the alan greenberg reference (waisted minds) all his friends as well as himself, from the drug use. talent lost to drug addictions. perhaps this major car wreck was a turning point for him to realize that his addiction was out of control, and was going to end up killing him, and he wasnt the superman he allways thought that he was? |

| Grateful Dead – Wang Dang Doodle Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
willie dixon: "Wang Dang Doodle meant a good time, especially if a guy came in from the South. A wang dang meant having a ball and a lot of dancing, they called it a rocking style so that's what it meant to wang dang doodle." great song, esp howlin wolf's version. |

| Cream – Spoonful Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
from willie dixon's mouth "The idea of Spoonful was that it doesn't take a large quantity of anything to be good. If you have a little money when you need it, you're right there in the right spot, that'll buy you a whole lot. If a doctor gives you less than a spoonful of some kind of medicne that can kill you, he can give you less that a spoonful of another one that will make you well. But after you write these songs, people who have ban minds, their minds will tell them what they want to believe. If it's blues, and they've been trying to degrade the blues all the time, I don't care what title you come up with, they'll say it's a bad title. I remeber a time years ago that if I said sex, my mama would beat the hell out of me, People who think Spoonful was about heroin are mostly people with heroin ideas." i think he is just writing that you dont need everything, you just need enough. and you can put whatever meaning into it that you want. |
