No matter how perfect things are, its like it doesn't matter. Feel like shit or maybe feel nothing at all besides the rollercoaster you ride through the emotional spectrum, emotions you can't even name because you swing by them to fast. No matter what you have, its just easier to ruin it, because then once you feel something you CAN name. Something more familiar. It gets tot he point where you don't even know your own motivations anymore, but you just keep going. |

a great song.
It speaks to me in many ways, what immediately came to mind was someone who just lost themselves in the world, lost track of what is wrong and right and doesn't know what to do about it. |

It still reminds me of an alter ego, like a lot of songs on this album. In the end he couldn't control it and he still goes along with it in the end, just as angry and destructive as ever. |

| System of a Down – Lonely Day Lyrics

Something i've noticed among people who are depressed, they have a void inside of them that they try to fill. I'm not saying with drugs, or anything like that, although there is an obvious connection. I'm saying that there seems to be something missing, something painfully out of place that they can't put their finger on.
When someone comes into their life that they feel like they need they use that person to fill the void, but no matter what, even if the interest is returned, they still feel all alone in the world. SO when you want something you can never, typically a person or a given purpose, all the depression and loneliness crashes down on top of you like a tsunami. Empty, sad, alone, confused to the point of unprovoked insanity. To me, this song hits the nail on the head for these lonely days, that many of us experience, some provoked, some unreasonable. Regardless, they are days we are always gald to survive. |

truly a beautiful song. The symbolic contrast and expression really hits me hard.
This is an example of why the Gorillaz are great. |

THe drug thing is interesting, and sort've fits with my idea of how it makes me feel like someone who loses themselves completely. Personally I see it as a person who does everything for attention "cry for some fun" or to make themselves feel better. and that "walk away fromt he sun, and kill everyone" is like walking away from yourself and your hope and stepping over the bodies of the people in one's life. When A person loses themselves to clockwork in the world it makes me think of someone who is 'fading with every day" |

I think this is a hauntingly beautiful vision of the end of the world, an apocalypse, symbolic perhaps, but it inspires me.
It has a sense of remorse, of the end of everything.
Somewhere they found salvation, the beginning of something new, or eternal sleep. |
